I went for this one. Also wor lass doesnt want it above the fire, but I actually agreed. Just not the natural place for it, plus I couldnt be arsed to make a channel in the wall for all the cables (sky+, wii, ps3, dvd), plus it would have had bad reflection from the light. Anyway, the stand is useful for holding the other stuff.

I thought it was ok at times, but also pretty quiet at times. Atmosphere comes with a good game though. Some good playing and maybe more so a few good strong tackles often get the crowd going. Equally a dodgy ref decision or a close shot can. But a poor game with nowt can leave the place in eerie (how the fuck ever its spelled) silence.

Id go with that like. She needs to know exactly whats on your mind and there's usually no better way than having her read it. But at the same time, you need to be a little bit firmer with him, although joking at the same time. Like asking him to budge over so you can sit with your lass lets him know where he stands and shows your lass that you want to be next to her. There is nowt wrong with being protective of your lass, but it shouldnt really come between any friendships she has, even if the lad is a twat. You have to let go a bit on that and trust her. I think you should go that weekend, but Id also suggest you do get a room alone and if he tries to jump in just ask him politely to understand you want some space with your lass. I wouldnt ask her to stop seeing him though unless you had good cause, other than you just dont like him. If that fails, piss on him while he is asleep and pretend to be asleep while you do it

Seems our new style. I was sitting midway through the first half saying I wish they'd stop just hoofing the ball up to Owen/Martins as they were getting beat in the air every time. It was awful to watch and was getting us nowt. Then Martins shoved his boot in me gob (or as good as) with his goal from just that. Second half seemed better like. So Im wondering, would most like Id say I do, accept the non to pretty football so long as we get the results? Someone once said Newcastle fans would rather see us get beat 4-3 and it be an entertaining game than us win. Well thats bollocks. While its not pretty, at the moment its fairly effective though we've yet to play any of the "top 4". Id also add on a different note, whats the point of having linesmen if they wont make decisions? The idiot up near the NE corner was constantly looking to the ref before sticking his flag up. Oh, and he also gave us a corner when it was clearly a throw in by about 2ft, we were pissing ourselves laughing at that one. Mind, we got one in return when they deflected one of our shots and the ref gave a GK.
