  1. Follow these instruction if you have your lap top with you. 1. Open Case 2. Put lap top on your knee 3. Have an icon on your desktop that opens explorer at this link: CLICK 4. Close your eyes and look up and mumble as if praying 5. Enjoy the reaction from the annoying fucker next to you
  2. Really? Butt has been one of the few to dig in and keep up the urgency when others dont seem arsed as Ive seen anyway.
  3. Well, someones upbringing moulds them. From both their parents and their peers. But they can only be accountable for their own actions. Fact is, many "scumbags" shouldnt be allowed to breed. But if one of their offspring commit a crime, they themselves can only be punished. Not necessarily completely fair, if they didnt know any different, but how do you judge?
  4. Interesting to read. Can you see us having that sort of patience? FS certainly wouldnt have and as always would have buckled under the pressure. Not sure about Mort/Ashley yet. What Sam does have going against him (other than results) is he wasnt their appointment and peoples heads have already rolled this season. I do think he'll be here at least until the new year and a review could well happen then.
  5. He is right in a way though. I think we have some quality in the side, the issue is how they are playing. Of course he needs a few more players, but Id like to see him get more out of the ones he has. Id think it would be harder for a new player to settle into a side that is trying to learn a system (well we assume thats whats happening) than a side who knows what its doing.
  6. Aye, wont happen though. Shame, but thats the times we're in. It takes or would take a good display or a fighting display to get the crowd behind the team. Much of what happens on the terraces reflects whats happening on the pitch. Fanzines, message boards alike can try as much as they will to muster the troops (crowd), but it needs to start on the pitch to get an effect. One thing that Sam does need to realise is that we aint fools. He can only use his "best start for ages" line so many times (already too many in my eye, and factually wrong anyway). I would still like to hear him explain some of the things he has done. Not that he needs to or should.
  7. Well, Ive got us (hoping) for 12 points between now and the first game in 08. Thats 12/24 btw.
  8. Good article aye. Just wish a few more would read it and let it sink it. Fact is, we aint a top or even half decent club at the moment (or for a few years now). We aint attracting the top players / managers etc. We're a mid table mediocre club with fickle fans who if half of the energy put into booing the side was put into supporting them would improve the atmosphere ten fold. I dont sing much these days (unless at away games), I dont boo either. More sit depressed of late. Sam may or may not get it right, see the light, improve things as some of the managers above did given time. But this is NUFC and for some reason many of us feel we should be different and actually deserve better? Yeah right.
  9. We've needed that desperately for 2.5 seasons now. Just 2 and a half? Robert did leave about 2 and a half years ago tbf. In such a short space of time, we've gone a long way (backwards) in an offensive sense from having Robert/Nobby on the wings with Dyer coming from the centre. Zog and Milner have the potential to provide the ammo though, Sam is just not getting us to play that way and seems he'd rather have the likes of Geremi or Smith our wide. Im at a loss with that one like.
  10. I agree with the general sentiment, I do think Sam will improve things and that it will take time. Id settle for a top half finish now. At the moment though, Im not sure and like many Im loosing confidence in him fast. Largely due to his style and selections. I was impressed at the time how well he acted in the transfer market though. But as you say, I do think it is going to get worse first. I cant see us getting anything from our next two games. We need players to dig in at the moment. Only evidence of that Ive seen so far is Butt and Milner when he gets a chance.
  11. I got bored of Radio 1 a while back. Listened to Talk Sport for an age after that but became increasing annoyed with some twatful views. So much so, I even found myself listening to Radio 2 now and again
  12. And neither looked happy with Geremi Quite justified.
  13. Yesterday whether it was Viduka or Martins on the ball, much of the time they were isolated up front. More worryingly was the lack of support once this happened. We used to break on the counter very effectively, now the players either couldnt be arsed (which I dont think) or their instructions were not to leave the back exposed (more likely). Many times Geremi was on the ball with yards of open space in front of him and he didnt move forward with it. Reading comments from Sam, he was worried about the defence so seemed to have told the midfield to give them plenty of protection. The way this interpreted it seemed was that we soak up what we can. Which wasnt much against an effective attacking liverpool side. So aye, no service at all for those up front. Then when they did have the ball they were quickly crowded out.
  14. Milner should have been on from the start. Then he should have came on to fill the RM void that was plain to see. However, chanting his name for it is not the way forward and it seems to happen more and more over that last couple of managers (Be it for Martins/Milner/Nobby or whoever).
  15. Id honestly just like to hear his thinking behind starting Geremi as a RWB (or at least Zog was a WB and Geremi seemed to play more like a FB), also on subbing Emre for Barton and incredibly Milner for Zog. Each one made me progressively baffled. Fuck the off the field science, what about on it !
  16. Aye some of the chanting was embarrassing. I thought the Reebok one was just the pool fans? If not, then it just add to my opinion of the majority. I just sat there in silence. Was odd, even when their 2nd and 3rd went in I didnt bat an eye as I expected it. Felt like saying "Can I go now?" when the final whistle went. At least some sections of the ground were making an effort when in the last 10 I heard a few singing more positive songs. Afterthought : Do we have a song that goes "I dont have to come here for two weeks..."
  17. Be the same people that were singing Walking in a Souness Wonderland during our decent run in the UEFA Cup. Id echo the thoughts that it would be a potential disaster to sack Sam right now. I dont like his football one bit, its what I feared it could be like when he came. But like I keep saying Id take the poor football if it came with winning football. Very little evidence of that though. Or the mentality that came with his last club. He has alot to do to get things going his way here. Whether he gets that time I dont know. Sounds like Rafa could be looking for a new job though
  18. Well, I reckon give him till Xmas at least. He hasnt been here five mins. After the transfer window I was pretty content. I thought Beye, Enrique, Rozenhal and Cacapa have all looked decent and brought vast improvements to the back line. So whats gone wrong there? I was pleased with Geremi in pre-season though havent been that impressed since. Smith I thought we bought just because he was available (much like Duff) without mich of an idea how he'd be used. Stil happy with getting Viduka. Biggest problems for me are the way we play and where he plays certain players. I hope, really hope he is starting to see these things. Not just playing Geremi because he bought him (to me Milner is strides better on the right with Zog on the left). Blackburn away will be tough, Arsenal at home... well .... After that though we have Brum (H), Fulham (A), Derby (H), Wigan (A), and Chelsea (A) until the new years game Man City (H). Of all of these games, 24 possible points, I reckon we should be looking for at least 12 points. These are key games for me. A perfect chance to turn it around or get buried.
