My sister lived in a whole street of the bastids in Heaton and worked as a bar manager. So she hates them even more than me.

I'll be there afterwards rather than before knowing the brilliant travel plans my lot come up with when it's an early kick off. I dissed you all for the old man for the Manshity game as he'd just got back off holiday and he owed me a tenner.

The Ra's on my course were funny like. I remember one being really upset in the canteen and her mate asking what was wrong. 'Daddies cut my weekly allowance to £200' Dear God, how will you cope!

They're the ones I mean. Mind, I was in Liverpool as an undergraduate, and looking back I can see what a twat I was in the first two years. I even stole a traffic cone once. I can only put it down to immaturity and a willingness to conform, but there were far, far worse than me. 40219 Did you wear the cone on your head whilst staggering down the centre of the road, you crazy bastard, you? 40226 Fuck, shouldn't have brought this up. I was with a mate, walking back from a pub and for some stupid studenty reason we decided to nick the full kit - two cones with flashing lights joined together with a plastic board. The first street we had to cross, we walked straight in front of a police car with two coppers sitting open mouthed at us. Got an unofficial warning. 40232 Who would have thought, Renton the non-conformist! The only thing I stole was posters off the wall of Munchies and British Gas barriers which make superb sledges in snowy conditions. The latter one I did with my non-student friends which lessens the zany factor.

'Thank you for being a friend...'

Anal and Souey, best of mates. I feel a sitcom offer in the pipeline.

Smashing windows, knocking over bins, missing deliveries, hurting people with flying papers. You sick bastard bastard tbh. 40211 Aye, howay Mancy, get on your high horse on this one! 40212 Highly educational in terms of learning about the trials and tribulations of your everyday US suburban paper round though. 40220 Bollocks!

I started working straight away after leaving uni when I was 21, and when I changed from smelly student scroat to wearing a shirt and tie I would never get handed flyers anymore. I used to have a dozen of them from the walk from uni to the bus stop, as soon as I looked like an office worker rather than a student I never got one. I though universitys were a hub of left wing politics? FASCISTS!
-
I used to laugh at Student Gwant in Viz, then I went to uni and realised these people actually exist.

I'm at fresheres week now and the people like that do my head in as well! All the bastards trying to get you to go to their bar saying how "Awesome" it's gonna be.... Well feck off I'll go where I want you cockhead! Ahem.... but yeah... it's been alright apart from that! 40203 I went to one fresher function and everyone annoyed the fuck out of me. However, it can be hard for 18 year olds to move away from home and Freshers week does give an opportunity for people to make friends. It's just the ott false zaneyness that used to piss me off!

Bet it's not a patch on Paperboy.

On a separate note, we welcome Lou (Welsh Dragon) to the city and hope she has an enjoyable university career. 40195 I'd like to go on record by saying only 70% of them are tossers.
-
I never went to Freshers week, I could think of nowt worse. I made friends with the chilled out students at uni, it was the 'trying too hard' lot that got on my tits. 'Let's stay up till 3 every single night and get pissed cos it's craaaaazy.' Let's not.

Emre looks like someone we would have signed 30 years ago. 'Yeeeeeeah baby' They still can't decide if it's Amady or Amdy Faye, and they've got his nationality as French.

ABout the last bit, I'm not sure I agree. If Shearer was still knocking them in, I think it may be a lot worse for Ameobi. In fact, arguably he is getting his chance now but still not taking it. 40154 A section of fans, well, most of us, are frustrated that Shearer is not the player he is. But as you know, there are a few who see Shearer as doing no wrong and cannot bring themselves to critiscise him....so they move eyes right to the far less talented gangly kid next to him and vent the built up frustration on him. If Shearer was knocking them away there would be less pressure on scoring therefore taking the heat off Shola imo. Like I say, I don't rate him, but it's become a boring weekly occurance the shit Shola takes at the match and has gone ott.

Fair play to them for dropping prices, NUFC should tow the same line imo. I couldn't gan to watch them like, especially as they have an apparent obsession with singing anti-NUFC/Shearer songs that even a section of their own fans have been complaining about. My dad used to have a threat for us when we misbehaved as kids; 'behave, or I'm taking you to watch the mackems.' I went to a local youth club when I was a kid, one day they announced they were taking us on a football ground tour...to Roker Park. The next week the kids were really rowdy so the Youth Leader goes 'RIGHT! Behave or the trip to Roker Park is off.' I think he regretted saying that after the Fire Brigade arrived.

Is there a stat to say how many goals he's given away by a) pissing about or standing on the touchline 40 yards off the play hands on hip? Glad to see those lovable loyal Pompey fans, who came on N-O and told us Robert would do brilliantly because they're 'proper' fans who support the team no matter what, are living up to that tag. Were those loud boos I've heard for the last few weeks? Surely not....
-
The problem Shola has now is that there are certain sections of the crowd, a fair size, who are WAITING for him to fuck up, who actually want him to fuck up. You can feel the tension and the vultures about to swoop whenever he gets near the ball. I don't think it's helped him and may be one of the many reasons he's got no better over the past couple of years. You try doing something right when everyone expects you do it wrong. I don't rate him, but I admire his bottle for putting up with the uncalled for shit he takes at the match. He's the easy target boo boy, and Shearer's demise has made him more of a target imo.

Has he got cats as well? jwtbh

Coke aal ower keyboard. Years of mediocrity? Fuck me gently.

Out of interest, how many times have you seen either of them play, in particular Pele? It's just people often say this or vice-versa and I wonder what they base this on. 40106 I personally don't know who was better having seen very little of Pele, but the argument is (apparently) that Pele played in a good side in a piss poor Brazilian league, whilst at least Maradona was tested (for drugs several times) in the Spanish and Italian leagues and showed his class. Personally, after seeing Pele's overhead kick DESPITE having suspected broken ribs, I'd go for him being the better player.

Ours was done for six months after loads of abuse. Someone posted in the Wanted section that their post trolley had gone missing. After that someone logged on as 'The Post Trolley' and started to post messages saying he'd ran away to the Bahamas because he was being abused. It then got a lot darker and the place was pulled.
