So...it's the fans fault? -

I heard Joe Cole on the radio the other day saying ticket prices were too high. How much did littel Joe command a week when he signed for Chelsea again?

Knowing us, we're probably signing him to play. -

This thread is taking a disturbing path... -
I see Red Bull have bought SV Austria Salzburg and renamed them "Red Bull Salzburg" and the club now plays in red and white instead of violet. They've also changed the club crest to the Red Bull logo. As you can imagine, the locals aren't happy and there's been a canny bit of trouble, the stadium was apparently given a good hammering at the weekend. Can you imagine if a large company bought us, changed the name, club colours, and the badge to their logo? Madness.

Aye, I think even if Bellamy had apologised then Souness might have been the kind of man to hold a grudge. I did understand why Bellamy was unhappy out of the right wing, he was shite out there, but for £40,000 a week he should have just got on with it and let the results decide whether Souness was doing the right thing or not.
-
Is Graham Fenton still manager? HOWAY THE BAY!
-
We've heard different stories, I don't know what is truth and what isn't, but when Souness and Bellamy fell out they both stuck to their guns meaning one had to go. Bellamy lost.
-
The definitive 'hit the nail on the head' comment. Bellamy had an opportunity to let bygones be bygones and start again with a clean slate - something he clearly didn't want to do - personally I'm glad that a player with a chip that size on his shoulder is no longer drawing wages from the club I support. He was a good player - indeed. He was also a complete and utter twat who IMO, did not properly respect the club or the people who support it. 35803 'Let's see, should I apologise and continue to play for the club I'm committed to, or shall I go on Sky, call the manager a liar, and in doing so go against what I sat and promised the chairman I wouldn't do. Hmmm...it's a tricky one...'

I like Taylor, but I've been wary of heaping too much praise on him because he was way over hyped last season. He perfromed well at RB, but looked a bit ropey at CH. This season however he's looking far more assured there. Just needs to be a lot less blood and thunder and more disciplined. Jumps in a bit too dangerously sometimes. Like I say, I don't want him hyped up because if the pressue gets to him a section of twats will turn on him.

It nearly took Kasey Kellers head off.

There is no doubting Bellamy was a good player for this club, I too remember the night in Holland, but he wasn't the innocent victim in all of this. He had the chance to apologise to his teammates and put the whole thing behind him, he chose not to. Then to tell new signings on their first day that they've signed for a shit club? He was asked to do a job on the wing, he faked injury twice to get out of it. Very committed.

The rot had most certainly set in, and for whatever reason Robson had the same team who performed CL heroics playing badly week after week. Maybe the players are to blame for that, they got complacent, they took the piss out of Robson's trust, who knows. The worry for me is that we've been a a poor attacking team unit for some time, it started under Robson and it's continued under Souness. You can pack the team full of fantastic players, but if you play shit football you get shit results (see Real Madrid this season). We need something to click, soon.
-
Totally agree! Was just about to post very similar as i scrolled down, then read this! I wish we still had Bellers, i do not forget how committed he was for us when practically the rest of the team couldnt be bothered. Some of you have very short memorys thats all i can say. I found it gutting to watch him wearing another strip. 35773 I have a great memory, I remember him telling the new singings they were joining a shit club for example. I also remember him texting the club captain to call him a wanker. Now there's committment.
-
He pissed on his chips. He's not fully to blame for the situation imo, but he played a big part. Plus, we are a 'shit club' if you remember so he didn't really want to be here by the sounds of it.

As Tom said, it should have been Ashington. Two Hail Marys and see me after class. 35029 Try Ashington Aquarium and you're getting there 35130 Listen, you pair of bastards. It's my joke and it's staying as it is!! 35448 But Cath, no one will laugh. I can't see you go through the pain.

Liam O'Brien's rocket against Leicester was the hardest I've seen. Don't think he had the ball moved for him either, might be wrong.
-
Ah, little Roberto. He used to watch me take the very same free kicks on the streets of Shields as a lad. I don't know why he plays for Brazil like, he lived in Shiremoor as a kid, rough as owt his family were.
-
You have to look at performances first and foremost, and for the last year or so (Robson included in this) we've been staggering around like the drunken uncle at a wedding. I'm not saying we need to be the entertainers totally playing teams off the park, but some sort of coherent attacking side would do me. We're not that bad as a team unit when defending, but when we're asked to attack as one we look a bit lost imo. Injuries? Bad signings? Bad Coaching? Don't know, but if we continue to play as we have done at the start of this season then we'll be scrapping around the bottom somewhere. Great win yesterday, was chuffed to bits, but I couldn't help feel we didn't deserve it, which is no way for a football fan to feel after a victory (see Bolton).

SOOPAFANS! The house in Hazlerigg was done for some annoying TV programme. They had to change some of it though due to the airport being so near and it being a distraction to planes, allegedly.

Just to stir the shit, I thought he was better when he used to curl it.
