1. We haven't seen enough of Luque in the EPL to make a comparision between the two. I personally like the Zog, he's positive and got a bit of bottle about him which is a refreshing change, long may it continue. From the game and a quarter I've seen of Luque I'd say he'll need to get used to the pace and physical side of it, seemed to be barged off the ball quite easily and looked like he wanted more time. Although Owen's comments yesterday back up that argument that you get far more space in La Liga. Luque did show with his chance against Manure at the end and his pass to Shearer V Fulham that he's certainly no mug. The fact we might actually have some decent competition out on the left side is a reason to be cheerful!
2. Happy Birthday! You are now the same age as me.
3. Poor bugger, it was the way he moved towards the camera, shaking his head at it whilst trying to cooly chew his gum. Still...
4. Anyone got a pic or a link to the footage of him? I don't like to mock usually, but that was... PRICELESS
5. He knew we only had 3 recognised defenders so wanted to take advantage of the situation. Plus, he's a whinging litle prick.
6. But it's a lot funnier when they piss the group then get humped off Iran/Uruguay.
7. Oh ffs. Jesus wept. It proves absolutely nothing man! Edit: Oh yeah, everyone who saw it on Sky would have seen it, obviously. 34943 Pathetic but by no means unexpected response from Renton to a good deed from Souness. 35021 Seeing as he couldn't have a go at Souness for the result or the performance he needed to have a go for something 35028 I posted this on skunkers last night on a similar thread..... My aunt is the tea lady, (yes the same one who starred in the Bowyer Dyer press conference.) She has been tea lady there for over 50 years, her name is Cath Cassidy. Last week she had a heart attack and was hospitalised for the week, when she came home GS and Terry Mac appeared at the door with Dean Saunders. They spent a good 2 hours there making sure she was ok. I'm biased as its my family but what a gent, she was made up, even though she has had the company of Toon managers every week over the last 50 years she thought it was a nice touch, so did the rest of the family. Best thing was, before they got there they got the wrong house in battle hill, and had to be redirected by a bloke down the street, imagine what he was thinking. 35048 Nice one. Let's hope she's back making the brews asap.
8. Faye was better yesterday imo. He seems to be better playing in a containing side. Where he struggles is when the pressure is on to attack a side, he's just not very good at creating and coming forward. As a general dogsbody however you can't complain, he works hard and puts his foot in. It's home games where he'll struggle.
9. He's still in shock, mate. 35056 As are we.
10. Had it been on before and was it that Irish undercover bloke who did it? If it was, I remember watching it and they were interviewing these right nutcases in a pub. It was then I realised it was the pub I was drinking in before we played Celtic in the pre-season game a couple of years ago. 35038 Donal McIntyre? 35042 Aye, that's the bloke. He did a series of documentarys on local gangsters. The one in Manchester was canny good, the bloke who runs the firm was a little fat gay bloke. There's hope for us all!
11. And the other 1% is what? 34993 The foreskin's spam! 34997 HOW DARE YOU 35036 HOW VERY DARE YOU!

13. Playing badly and winning is the sign of a championship winning side. Watch out Chelsea!
14. Ah, the old 'haway hinny, it'll be great man' trick. I'm not having a go at our women supporters becuase a large majority are brilliant, but I bet my house that her first words to her other half were 'which team are we?' I think basically she was a non-footballing fan dragged along by the other half who decided she REALLY doesn't like football.
15. As Tom said, it should have been Ashington. Two Hail Marys and see me after class.
16. You meant 66% general threads right? Maybe it's because we debate an NUFC issue then leave it, rather than flogging it like a dead horse and creating 'I wish Robert was here' threads every other day.
17. The problem now stems from the end of industry that suddenly caused massive unemployment. There now seems to be a mentality in certain areas that you don't need to get an honest job, you can sit on your arse and the govt will pick up the bill (yes, I know, it sounds a bit like my job ) I'm sure a lot of us weren't angels when we were kids, but even the hard bastids round mine didn't do the stuff these tossers are doing nowadays. It's like finding new evil ways to get kicks. Renton does a good thing by helping this kid out and look at the thanks he gets. Bridget's story actually reminded me of a similar incident when I was out on the drink in Newcastle. My mate and me walked past thids bloke who had his Mrs by the neck against a shop window, banging her head of it occasionally. We went ower to him and asked him to stop, which resulted in the little twat doing a runner (must have been a coward to run from us ). The thanks we get? The lass starts twatting us and shouting 'leave him alone man!'. Fine, if you enjoy taking a beating off a coward suit yourself.
18. Is Gems the father of all things ginge? Like the head vampire effect, do you think if we destroyed him it would kill all the ginger children in the world? It's worth a try.
19. Not at bastid Morrisons they don't.
20. You were accusing me of being a rapist then weren't you? Sexist! 34172 PAPIST!
21. Well, that's me out of the committee. 34152 So that's a comitte, then? 34153 Or more likely a cmoittet in my case... 34162 Ancient African tribe of head-shrinkers and pedants? 34168 RACIST!
22. Be careful, that's even further north, you might explode with rage.
23. Well, that's me out of the committee. 34152 So that's a comitte, then? 34153 Or more likely a cmoittet in my case...
24. Well, that's me out of the committee.
25. Is it co-ordinate or coordinate?
