Still, the funniest part of that episode was the two asian tourists who sat through that whole period, reading the programme.

I always drink at the workman's club 5 minutes from the ground, think it's £2 to get in or something like that. Queues for a drink are massive mind. Top floor always full of pissed up geordies. Last year, I heard a fantastic 10minute rendition by a kidda about fucking a mackem lass up there. Area around the ground is rough, because it's East London, which is a shit hole, but shouldn't have a problem, although a jumper over the toon top - if you're wearing one - is recommended. Mind, never had any trouble in going to pretty much every london game for about 7/8 years.

Difference is that he's not on 80 grand a week, and he's in a position where you're expected to have a back-up. Not a mercenary but definitely an average goalkeeper that could have had a more interesting career. If I was in his position, I'd have certainly left a long time ago to play in the championship. Unless ofcourse the paypack at Newcastle is vastly superior, even for an average reserve goalie.

People need to stop going on about Luque. He's shit, really shit, he's not going to start another game for Newcastle unless Martins, Ameobi, Rossi and Sibierski are all out injured. FORGET ABOUT LUQUE. Seriously. And no, we didn't need a central defender more than a striker this summer. Because if we hadn't bought any forwards, we'd have Ameobi and Luque. A strikefore that absolutely guarantees relegation. Not that Martins is a significant enough improvement, if only in terms of numbers. Roeder's belief in Ameobi was one of his early significant mistakes, in my opinion. We're basically fucked, but saying that everything would have been nice and rosy with a central defender instead is stupid and clueless.
