  1. how do you think they will run the seats next year at home? think they will close off a small section unless they sell out so people are still packed into areas, or do you think there will just be pockets of empty seats all over the ground. I think it'll be the second option as the numptys in charge couldn't find their own ass with a mirror on a stick let alone organise seat movements again, but i think it will have a horible effect on the atmosphere.
  2. thanks to some advice on here i shall be in the three famous kings pub in London
  3. 26 points in it, i'm still in with a shout, just! cant believe i've blown this league and my one at work after been top for a long time! next season...!
  4. cheers for the info guys, SportsCafe aint my cup of tea but i'll have a look online for info about the one near westminster and the London Supporters club one in the 3 Famous Kings.
  5. tried and failed to get tickets for the weekend, tempted to sit in the home end but did that last season at Villa and a mixture of high's and lows (owen scoring in the 2nd minute, only to get turned over 4-1). Going to be in London now for the day so wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a Geordie friendly pub? Cheers
  6. if STaylor is fit then put him at RB and Beye in the centre for Colo. Attacking wise, who do you think he will start? I would like to see lovenkrads involved, with Guthrie also starting, but i think Shearer will pick a 4-3-3 with martins owen and viduka so can't see them both in the midfield.
  7. from the BBC: Att: 37,857 Stamford Bridge is 42,055, you can see a few being taken up for fan seperation between home / away mabye, but to be 4,000+ off your attendance for a semi final of the champions league?!
  8. what do you reckon the chances are that some Newcastle supporters do the same thing, purposely looking for a little bit of fisty cuffs with the unwashed?... ...could be more entertaining to watch than the game!
  9. agree. Do you think we ever consider a man marking system in games like these, i.e. play 5 in midfield with one person role to stick to Gerrard like glue? if so, who do you reckon would get the job? For me it would be Smith.
  10. you started the thread. and about 50 other of this forum over the past few weeks. i read this forum a lot but rarely post, but fuck a nun you talk some shit on here, i'm all for a bit of debate with different fans but you've been starting shit threads left right and centre of recent.
  11. surely arsenal have a better goal difference yes / no ? if so, then they still have one game left to play in your 'london circuit', against chelsea, so if they win they go top? I don't get this 'we have more derbies milarky', from a players point of view, i reckon only the 'big derby' each time has an mssive effect in the atmosphere before and during the game (i.e. spurs v arsenal, where as spurs v fulham - surely that aint half as good an atmosphere, pressure etc?) From a players point of view therefore, it must be better getting to kip at home and get up normal time for a lot more weekends then traveling the length of the county every other weekend and more for games like Newcastle v Portsmouth etc.
  12. as someone has said earlier, too little too late probably, but having said that its a time to have it as it will look so much more impressive when its dark(er) at that time of day, and the atmosphere noise wise always seems to be better for later kick offs. add to that the fact that the next home game against the smoggies is also a monday night kick off they will no doubt be intending to make a spectactle of that with the card holding / flags etc, it should make for a good couple of games My only problem is with the flags, every time i see chelsea on the box in the champions league they've got them free rent-a-flags in sections and it looks so organised, unlike something like anfield where its a mixture of different old and new ones, different scarves etc, always looks more authentic as it is most the time!
  13. You are aware what the flag at the top of our crest is supposed to represent aren't you? no shit sherlock I'm on about the ones that you get on spanish kits, scottish one's etc, where its on the back above the name. I always think it looks good on TV as you can usually see it clearly when the camera is on the individual, its a nice touch to the top i reckon. nice touches like that help to make a kit complete i think
  14. liking the crest on the side better like the photoshop shows, overall its a nice strip and the shorts with the white trim look spiffing! what with it been st george's day n'all, we should have a st george's cross on the top like a lot of the scottish teams have their flag (seen it on a few english club tops, Bristol City for example).
  15. anybody got any? stuck down bristol for the game but been letting the hamster run its wheel and the best i've come up with so far is: WISE IS OUT, SHEARER'S IN PREMIER LEAGUE WE'RE STAYIN IN WITH A NICK NAK PADDY'WHACK GIVE A DOG A BONE SHEARER IS A GEORDIE BOY! going to send it into .com etc to do my bit but if anyone else has any suggestions put them in here and i'll direct them this way!
  16. I think if Kinneir steps up in the club (presumably now to take over wise's role?) then he won't be coming back down to managers position, it would totally undermine him and fans would throw twice much stick at him the minute we started to lose again!
  17. Mike Ashley: the gift that keeps on giving! my arse! if he can do it now, then why not when keegan was here and save us all the farce of the last 8 months!
  18. more talk on 5live, ifs its a wind up then they should be sacked its one 23.18! all part of the ashley plan...!FUCK RIGHT OFF YOU FAT C**T!
  19. just said it on 5 live news too, still reckon its a wind up like.
  20. gotta be an april fools. mind you, If it is then a boycott liverpool / sun style is in order for SSN if its false hope.
  21. quite like it but it looks off-white on myscreen and resembles a cricket top far too much. James doesn't look too impressed.
  22. One of the most inept matchday management performances since the dawn of time. Just two of many fuck ups: Letting Martins take a pen and not subbing Taylor immediately or getting instruction out for a mf to drop back and hold (I watched in horror as Nolan casually tracked back). don't know if its been mentioned elsewhere, but why the hell did he take it with his right foot too, isn't he left? there's times to practice and there's fucking times to practice, would have been a completely different game had he put that away, FFS!
  23. he'll be playin the 4-5-1 the same against man united, hopefully with lovenkrands just behind martins and nolan playing in midfield.
  24. finished the second series a couple of weeks ago. i heard a few people say its probably the weakest but i enjoyed it, it gave a total differnt feel to the program compared to the first. having said that, i started the thrid a couple of days ago and its nice to get back fully into the characters from the 1st series! can't wait to see what Omar's got in stall for Stringer!
