  1. Not getting ahead of ourselves as we're only 4 games in and still looked dodgy a few times when we were attacked with pace down our wings, but the fear now being that he thinks he can get away with a single signing to make all the difference.
  2. This must have ran through so many minds as the ball came back to him, but he stayed calm and kept his composure. I reckon / hope a Gouffran with confidence can start challanging for a regular start ahead of the likes of Marv and Shola (that he should have to compete with Shola in the first place for a spot in the 11 is a joke)
  3. I realized my error about 30 minutes into it once all the intrigue had gone (always enjoy a good end of the world build up in a movie). Can't decide if Michelle Rodriguez is more 1 dimensional as an actor as Jason Statham - very close.
  4. I'll try and sound camper next time if i can......!
  5. he looks great. What a cheeky, cheeky through ball there!!
  6. Holy cow bells just seen this trailer.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtpnkrYKfUk#t=47 everything was looking rosy until gaga showed her face, but it was all made up for at 0.44 seconds when Sofia Vergara does some shootin' from the not-quite-hips
  7. I barely caught any of MOTD last night, but the one bit i did see was indeed that! thought to myself "still the same old Parker" and switched off.
  8. With the run of games they have before the derby match at the stadium of Shite, things could go either of two ways; they go without a win for a while and Di Canio is gradually tearing the dressing room apart, or they pick up a few wins where people thought they wouldn't and they're riding a great deal of confidence into the match. Haven't seen much of them apart from the Crystal Palace match so can't really comment on there performances this season, but i'd be suprised to see them pick up many points in the coming weeks.
  9. He keeps the speed of an attack going, which is all the better when we're playing with Remy and Ben Arfa on either wing. He collects the ball, turns and plays a great forward ball time and time again. Tiote alwyas looks to do a crazy punt up the pitch or stops dead and takes momentum away form an attack. I still rate Tiote, and hopefully this serious competition will give him a kick up the arse to find some of his best form.
  10. Don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but I thought Anita had another solid performance today, kept things ticking over nicely with some simple football in the centre, allowing Cabaye and Sissoko to push on a bit more. It will be interesting to see what Pardew does with Tiote getting back to full fitness; its starting to show that a consistent run of games for Anita is bringing out the best in him, but Pardew likes Tiote, and on his day he can Tiote can be great. Cabaye - Anita - Sissoko Cabaye - Tiote - Sissoko Personally, the former makes me feel more confident.
  11. Di Canio sent off as well - great afternoon!
  12. what song are we singing? To the tune of the Cabaye song
  13. Sameobi?! don't see the logic in that sub
  14. His overall play has improved loads since he joined, but his luck / flukyness has dried out of recent.
  15. 9 games without a goal now. Once he gets one though, i reckon we're likely to see a run of goals from him with support from Barfa and Remy
  16. excellent performance so far, keep this up for the last 15 and it will be a real confidence boost
  17. .com showing a fan's mocked toon top ... If someone were to sell a patch for the home strip like this, I wonder what Ashleys response would be for home games?! presumably he would have stewards etc looking out for them and fans either being told to remove the top or be ejected? This would be incredibly hard to police, as it's not as if it's a big bed-sheet that can be seen from all around the ground.
  18. true, they probably will. What would you propose to replace it - no transfer window at all, or another type of system that could potentially sit in the middle somwhere (no idea what this would be btw)?
  19. I was going to hopefully get around to going to the cinema for this rather than watching it on the net, as it looks like it could be action packed in the trailers. Shame that you didn't see it on the same level as District 9, as I thought D9 was a great watch.
  20. I do get the reasons why its wrong i.e. restricted movement, but football is a different world now from the last time there was no window. A squad should be a squad and play together for a season. The likes of Chelski and City will buy players all season long whenever they have an injury, rather than fielding players who are there for backup, too much (money) rides on every result. Scrapping it could potentially see fee's decrease as teams wouldn't have a deadline to use as ransom for extra cash, but the opposite could also be true as selling teams will know when a player gets an injury and why the club has come calling for a player, and a hike in the fee would no doubt occur.
