We have played 10 times since we beat spurs 3-1. Our best performances since then were our loss to blackburn and a draw with arsenal. The other 8 games have been some of the worst football i have seen us play since the late 90s when we had the likes of robinson and gallagher up front. If we hadnt won a few points the first few weeks of the season we would be in serious shit right now!

Just got back. I dont know what the radio put across ut it looked like we played 4-1-4-1 with smith as a sweeper and viduka up front on his own chasing long balls! Given had a shocker. Nearly kicked into his own goal and tried to run out of his box to clear a ball on the half way line getting stranded 50 yards from goal! Our 1 shot was a deflection from 20 yards out that was going wide. The only time Kirkland touched the ball was for a goal kick. Geremi worst player on the pitch again and cheered off. Someone said Ashley was in the away end with us. I hope he was because the chants of 'were shit and were sick of it' and 'shearer shearer' left him in no doubt what almost every fan thinks of the manager. Worst of all we made Bramble look like Maldini today. His easiest game of the season by far. What a fucking shambles we are at the minute!

I dont think he gets the credit he deserves. Hes saved us a shit load of goals this season and helps out a lot attacking too. Not easy when you have only played a few months of a total new style of football.

I noticed today the big difference between viduka and smith is that viduka only needs a split second to get a shot off. Smith on the other hand needs a touch, a look at goal, a heeeouuuge back lift and then a swing at mid air as the defender takes the ball off him. Just look at our first goal yesterday for proof.

Allardyce is too stupid to see if he played 442 with his players in proper positions and wasnt getting the results he would probably be afforded the time to work on the team and show us what he can do. Maritns gets cheered by the whole crowd when his name is announced or if he comes on as a sub. As soon as he does something wrong though he suddenly becomes the focal point of the crowds abuse for the whole team! I wish people would make their minds up!

Smith did infinitely more today than Martins, even though the former wasn't astonishing. Which, I feel, says a lot about the latter. The reason Martins didn't get a run was because he either chose not to, or wasn't able to because the ball didn't stick at his feet at all. But smith is a striker who hasnt scored a league goal in 2 YEARS. 24 MONTHS. 104 WEEKS. That has to be the poorest record in the league. And he doesnt look like breaking it any time soon. He takes an age to even think about getting a shot off. Martins may do plenty wrong but he always looks infinitely more likely to score than smith does

Because i lived in leeds for 3 years and then america the year after that. I still managed about half of the home games and a handful of away games during that time as well as a champions league trip Im not claiming to be a sooperfan. Far from it. Just dont see the point in blowing £30 watching the match in the pub round the corner from the ground.
