Andy Carroll....Local Hero! O̶r̶ ̶J̶u̶d̶a̶s̶?
ChezGiven replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
This is the conclusive proof we have been waiting for. You don't understand business. Football finance is a complete mystery to you. You are loud and crude and repetitive. And now - you cannot recognize a decent footballer. It was a perfectly reasonable post and certainly none of the content justifies any of your response. Reply to the post, not the poster. -
Japanese corporation stock prices are irrelevant to anyone but those holding short positions. The gold market has been on the same trajectory since about 2005. I have no idea what the 3rd sentence means. Can you carefully articulate what you mean by a countermeasure against the Euro (selling it or buying it?) Also Re: before the dollar collapses - you do realise that the Chinese wont let that happen?

Really because watching the games this weekend, i was thinking about the intense look of anguish on the faces of the Man U fans, the unbridled joy of the Man city fans and saying to myself what an absolute crock of shit that Polish lad has been dribbling out of his mouth in this thread. Funny how 2 people can see the same events so differently.

Buy that pre-chopped stuff in a jar, you can get garlic and ginger already virtually in a paste, find it in most supermarkets. If you then chop the onion as finely as possiblem the final effect wont be too bad.

Conspiracy theorist-tastic. Its because of people like you that the world is going into a downward spiral because your too blind to see whats right in front of you. Its unbelieveable how blind some people are to what the governments of the world actually do. it amazes me. Talk me through this then. During George W Bush's presidency, they captured and killed Osama Bin Laden, and Bush was like "Ok....you wanna do what?.......Keep this for later? Just freeze him, and we'll release him in a couple of years?......Yeah that sounds fine. And yeah that black fella from the other party that looks set to win the presidency, by all means let him have this moment." You'll be amazed at what the governments hide from the public. The Presidents & Prime Ministers of the world are simply just puppets to the higher up people. its quite simple really. Ah, the leftist liberal new world order who stopped the neocons from exploiting this moment to deliver the glory to their manchurian candidate. I see, yes, it makes sense.

On a more positive note, this will cheer up KSA after his skip incident.

I tell you an even more depressing stat, we've scored 4 goals in 10 away games under "Pards" what a massive difference he's made eh? 4FS. I'm not sure quite what Hughton or anyone else would have done better with our squad tbh, especially after flogging Carroll. It's just not up to the job. Our starting 11 today was assembled for little more than the cost of Carroll.

Theoretically it's 30 mins but if you are checking bags all the way you don't want to scrape it.

Depends what time the flight is. If it's the 7am, just go for 6am. You aren't going through transatlantic security until heathrow anyway. If it's a bit later then probs a hour and half before.

Still in the game but both sides are playing shite. Jonas is having a good game just a shame his amigo is off his game. As for Shola, ffs.

Cameron --- Pen Pushers can't stop your Royal party!

Please tell me that was Melissa Theuriau and if so is it on youtube yet? Thought I was done after knocking one (two) out over the Middleton sisters but if Theuriau is creaming herself I can manage another one. No, it was the milftastic Claire Chazal I want to wear her as a hat. -

This thread has been funny as fuck. Just finished watching the TF1 news, normally I'd watch Sky but I was interested in how they would cover it over here. They dedicated just under half of the hour long national news programme to the event and the newsreader looked like she was creaming herself all the way through. When you realise the extent of the international interest in the event and you see it through their eyes, it is striking how important an event it as for the country, it's image and peoples's interest in it. It might be not what everyone would want people to think of when they think of Britain but the glamour and the sense of history is important because thats part of what people think of when they think of britain. Nowt wrong with that imo. -
You can take so many points of view on what happened, with the agent in one ear chivvying Carroll along and Liverpool's owners ramping up the millions to extraordinary levels, you can see why it had to happen in the end. To take Jonny's pov on too, despite the agent pressure and the money causing Ashley to slaver buckets, Carroll could still have said no. However, i am convinced he was under loads of pressure from the agents who saw Abramovich's £50m coming into the market and wanted to get their portion. That money wasnt 'football' money, it wasnt generated by Chelsea and formed part of the football economy, this was an additional capital injection into the football economy and as such, agents would have been desperate to take their cut of the new money.

I dont think 'cost' is an issue from an economic point of view. The family bring plenty of tourist money into the country. Whats interesting for me is that people in this thread are seemingly quite negative about them without being actually anti-royalist? Is that right or are some of the negative posters, actually anti-royalists too? For me, the royal family are part of our culture and our cultural heritage. We have two type of heritage, our physical wealth, buildings, national art etc and intangibles like language, tradition and customs. We all marvel at the quaintness of traditions in other countries, preserved in many cases just for the sake of preserving them (because of their intangible value in the culture), yet dont look to this institution (which probably costs us nowt) as something to value in itself and for itself. Am in no way a Royalist but i look at the royal family in the same way i look at bullfighting in the basque country. Its something people like to preserve without there being any actual point to the activity outside of the entertainment. I guess you can argue after today that the family provide entertainment. In 2003, UNESCO made a convention for preserving intangible cultural heritage. It more than likely* includes religions that artificially promote people to elevated status in society and use ceremony to celebrate the fact. Because that happens in some remote corner of Asia, thats great but if it relates to a British family, its not worth it? *i.e. i just made that up. -
I agree he was awful for us and his career never recovered, until now that is. How come he seems to have done so well since he took over at Liverpool? They've had the odd wobble but keep getting the results. As for Carroll, am 100% convinced that his head was turned by the new agent that was appointed at the end of 2010. Yes, it was up to him but even if he was on 30k per week, can you imagine a trained salesman, specialising in selling greed to young impressionable men is constantly in your ear about you being worth 90k per week (or whatever the figures are). Easy to see how his head could be turned. Its the agents who the villains in this story imo, not Carroll.

They're all cunts basically.

If it goes to Shields, i'll concede the argument to CT and HF.

You cant blame the ref but you can blame Alves.

Which is ironic really, as the Premiership has only been won by two teams since 2005. Its been contested by at least 6 sides since 2005 though.
