I dont understand that attitude. For me, its bit like saying am never going to the cinema again because you dont like how the Weinsteins conduct their business. Obviously you can quote Shankly back at me and claim there is no similarity but am afraid the reality is that its a form of entertainment, albeit one based upon complex social relationships, history, culture and passion. Ultimately, when you look at it all you can really say is the club is being run badly. I dont want to go into the rights and wrongs of Hughton or Carroll but there are arguments on both sides for those two decisions. I dont agree with the cuts the current govt is implementing but i can see the argument for doing it. I dont understand the attitude as i have no idea what you are trying to acheive? To overthrow the ownership of a private business? Its not even a PLC so you are utterly powerless but thats not the point. The point is, what do you want instead? NUST to run the club? Or some new owners? Aye, cos that worked out really well the last time. I really dont know what people like you want, is it to be competing for the champions league this season? Because if its not, then how about a team that competes every match, plays decent football, puts an honest shift in, takes pay-cuts to stay with us, rallies behind the cause and pulls off exciting results that give hope for the future? Dont we go to football to enjoy ourselves and hasnt following the team this season been enjoyable? Am not saying you are wrong, its just i dont get it.

Ours. Not sure wtf I was doing like. The place went absolutely mad for about 30 seconds or so. The pile on of players was down in front of me but I had no idea how they'd suddenly all gotten there until I watched motd. Had a perfect view of Nolan's late effort as well, which wasn't too far away. Just checking. Not seen it yet, downloaded the match last night, watching it tonight.

Pics then?? I cant use hosting sites at work so will have to wait until tonight. Am quite battered today, had the funniest weekend in Lyon. Not only meeting Ben Arfa but on the sunday we went for a pint of Guiness to sort the hangovers out, ended up chatting to these locals who invited us to their mate's restaurant for lunch. They were all in their 50s but top lads. After giving us tradtional lunch, wine, cognacs etc this mad lad has this glass in his hand with a box of tabs over it and asks me if i want to smell 'a very fine tradition of Lyon'. He tells me to breathe it in deeply and as i am doing so realise its fucking poppers and he was taking the piss Afternoon went in the wrong direction from there on in.

Citing man u's debt as a requisite for success is stupid. The debt came from the leveraged buy-out. Arsenal's debt has nothing to do with player sales or salaries. Chelsea are not using debt in the truest sense since it's just transferred funds across abramovich's empire.

Aye that definitely trumps 15 years experience of living in London and Paris.

Think we have Stevie's apprentice here. I love Newcastle with all my heart, its my favourite place in the world but i find it very hard to see Newcastle with more character than Paris. Aesthetically, its a bit backwards to compare the two. However, if people make places, then they both have a point. I don't think Paris is any easier on the eye than London to be honest, London has nicer buildings in my view, I just didn't like it. I think in terms of character and charm I know what Mac means, I'd rather see some old timer sat making a rolly on them seats outside the Black Garter with a £1.50 pint of John Smith's by his side, than some fat Frenchman sat outside a cafe on Champs Elysee drinking 15 euro cups of coffee reading the deaths page in "Le Monde". Thats just nonsense Stevie, Paris is broadly accepted as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. There isnt much in London to compare to The Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, Grand Palais etc. I say that as somone who lived in London for 10 years too, so i know it better than you do. The fundamental difference (and the argument your are looking for if you ever discuss this with a frog) is that London was demolished during the Blitz because we had the balls to protect Europe from facism, whereas Paris is a museum piece that retains its early 19th century splendour because the cunts preferred to surrender than have their city destroyed. Both cities have amazing river views but Paris edges it as its still standing from when they first renovated it in the early 1800s.

Hall Family + Shepherd In = £3m Out = £138m + years of dividends + £0.5m per year for warehousing. Ashley In = £200+m Out = ?

This point that keeps getting wheeled out, again by Llambias today, that he's never taken a penny out of the club. Has this ever being nailed as a fact, a lie or is it all smoke and mirrors. I'm not sure but I know he has changed the terms of his loan from being repayable on sale to being repayable on demand i.e. he could now pull the plug at any moment he wanted. I'm sure last years accounts showed that he'd taken out a few million....couldn't fathom why he'd do it when we still had an overdraft/debt that we're paying interest on. I can't see anything in the accounts to say that, in fact his loan increased in 08/09. Our loans to him were up to £112 million at one point during the year but ended at the £111 million. Either he was paid back a million or it was written off.....which I'm sure he'd be bragging about. Rounding error?

Was the spelling mistake at the end to try and pretend you didnt copy that from somewhere?

7 weeks ago Liverpool were a mess and we beat them 3-1

I think we need to give the side another 2 games before making any assessments. Bolton and West Brom were worse performances than last night so its still well within the natual ebb and flow of the season. -

Is he a really good liar or basically saying what he thinks and feels? Live television, camera in your face, enormous pressure to perform and never been to drama school. If we has was lying, it would be all over his face imo. I think he understood the regime's mentality and was doing and saying everything he could to keep Carroll at the club. I reckon he would have realised how potentially effective he was going to be too.- 10610 replies

Not all but yes. However, thats great for the club, loads of money in at the float and then fuck all out in dividends as the price of the share is so low. Aye but surely that was the case when the clubs first started doing that, whereas now there'd be very few people willing to invest? The stock market was burnt by the floats in the 90's, i doubt there would be any interest, especially if Ashley was organising the sale.

Playing FIFA, smoking weed, Colocinni up front, Enrique at centre-back, jumpers for goal posts.
