  1. MOTD2 decided against showing Barton's gesture as it was too 'vulgar'. Pompous wankers.
  2. Is it not a little too much of a Sunday for Shakespeare quotes?
  3. Dont want them tbf. Dont want to go back to having the Vidukas, Owens etc Yep, Id hate us to be aspirational. What's aspirational about paying ridiculous wages to players who get you relegated? Its not about that, you cant permanently look at big name signings and ignore them because we've had a couple of bad ones in the past! Owen was the biggest waste of money ever but he cost a fraction of Shearer, was he a waste? Works for Spurs and we are on the same financial planet as them. So i can take the example of those two and use it to virtually prove the point. I dont understand the wording of the question re: Shearer. However, if the club experiences the sort of revenue and value growth seen in the mid 90's that took it from being a £3m club to floating as a £200m club in the space of a few years, then yes spend £20m or more on a striker. Worth the risk in those circumstances. Make sure you keep an eye out for them returning. Did you get my pm yesterday btw?
  4. I dont see any reason to support that view either. We need to get rid of Lovenkrands and Smith and replace with Keane and Krancjar.

  6. That was Williamson. Perfect example of something
  7. More like £50k. Completely agree.
  8. We need another 20 points, don't really give fcuk about anthing else. My apologies for breathing.
  9. Thought Campbell made some good tackles and read the game quite well. Obviously came off his back for their goal and was poor quite a few times particularly for Torres's chances in the second but I thought Taylor was worse. That header in the first half, classic 'make-mistake-then-point' routine. Instead of leaving it for Krul, heads it into trouble and immediately points towards the goal to tell Krul he needs to get back. Fucking tit Quite hard for them two coming in without great fitness and in the circumstances so they were lucky that Liverpool/Torres were a bit shit. Was Tiote's card because of a Campbell mistake too? I did say during the week that i couldnt imagine an apathetic reaction to Hughton leaving from the players, only an angry one and thats exactly what we got. Very clearly motivated them, the football writers may want to say its about the players 'spirit' but that performance was for Chris. Lets see how they continue and whether they care as much about the club as they say. I really hope this is what carries them forward. Carroll was ridiculously good yesterday and Joey Barton is without doubt the best footballer at the club.
  10. If the club gets taken over, the new owner would need to pay up to the end of the contract to get rid of Pardew. Its just as likely there is no debt and the length of contract is something that they agreed on as Pardew, due to his close relationship, is well aware that Ashley wants to sell if he finds a buyer. The length of the contract is so bizarre, it must be based on knowledge that the ownership could change very quickly (i.e. not soon from now but as soon as someone is willing to pay the price he wants).
  11. Aye 5 minute interview on Talksport arselicking him. I'm struggling to think of a time where two more gifted players were used less frequently than two utterly shite players as Harewood and Mullins, you could even throw Reo Coker in. To be fair, Tevez and Mascherano were shite the day we played them under Pardew. Was a while back now but i do remember 'where's your argies gone' being sung after they were both substituted. Tevez at half time then Mascherno for Benyoun early in the second. The day Harewood, who came on for Tevez, put Given in hospital. The whole West Ham team were shite, we murdered them and Tevez and Mascherano had only been in England a few weeks when we played them, took Henry a year to settle and look what he became, these had only played two games in English football or something like that. I remember West Ham were singin you should've died in ya coma to Roeder, chirpy chappy lovable cockneys eh? Nobheads. Aye it was early season, Martins had just arrived too who scored that day. Their fans were fucking wankers that day.
  12. Same here, that first Marcia Griffiths tune is better than Prozac.
  13. An argument for sacking a manager has to be 'a priori'. 'It could have been a lot worse than Pardew' is not an 'a priori' argument. Get out of that one CT

  15. Shit week, shit weather, shit work. Reggae playlist to cheer you up, especially for manc-mag mon. You want the version of this off the album 'Naturally'
  16. He has a point about certain ones though when he uses those words. Thanks mate.
  17. Clearly Hughton must have been doing a fair bit of complaining behind closed doors. The way it should be done. Pure conjecture and less likely to be the truth that what CT has said. Sorry like, its not what we want to hear but its what cold, objective thinking tells you. Hughton's media communications served the club's interests, never his own. I think the idea that he was all sweetness and light in the press and an Allardyce in the boardroom is far-fetched.
  18. I agree you have a choice, do something and do nothing and that people should do something. However, neither makes fuck all difference apart from affecting the sort of statements coming out of SJP. Its difficult accepting injustice, its even more difficult accepting an injustice and feeling impotent against it. The reality is we are impotent but people should protest as a healthy way of expressing their anger and to deal with these feelings. Its not going to 'stop him getting away with it'. He already has.
  19. Blaming Pardew is exactly what Ashley will want. * signs-off Leazes's and Parky's expenses for November.
  20. Pardew didnt plot behind the scenes to get rid of Hughton, thats a ridiculous idea. Cant believe some of you are entertaining it based on him being in the frame for 2 weeks or whatever. Stevie knew this since 22nd October which means its been hatched as a plan weeks before that. Lawyers would have been involved in preparing the dismissal for ages. Are they part of the 'plot'? None of this implicates anyone other than Ashley in Hughton's sacking.
  21. So he can get rid of Smith, Barton, Colocinni and Nolan. All earning a shed load and too close to Chris. So he can sell then sell the club with a very low wage bill. Happy New Year.
