  1. Johan Neeskens, 73 Dad always called him “Cruyff’s Bodyguard” but he was plainly far, far more than that, obviously in a football sense but also personally …he went to Barcelona with him when Cruyff lost the captaincy at Ajax. I think he was one of the last classic era Dutch players left

  3. This isn’t a dig, but that doesn’t answer Glooms question Why wouldn’t PiF lend itself money? Is it principle due to some potential problems in the future if we’d gone down that road or some other technical reason?…
  4. Good to hear from you again Albert ☺️
  5. I have been instructed to do so as well There’s me for the questions and my ex county player mate for the arrows
  6. When he saw the team on Saturday one of our lot said in the system Eddie plays he’s definitely better as an impact sub. I don’t usually give a lot of credence to this individual’s opinions but it’s difficult to argue after what we saw during the game
  7. And there is a lesson for everyone … Newcastle were shite yesterday n’all 👀
  8. The right of kings to start the match thread comes with the responsibility for performance. This is on you. So is the transfer window. And the 2008 economic crash. And John Lennon being shot. And post colonial decline in the UK etc etc Barnes was taken off because he was playing as if he was devoid of energy. No good saying Fab should’ve took pen. If he’d missed same folk would’ve said “BUT GORDON SCORED LAST WEEK V MAN CITY MAN!!!” We played fairly well including the subs. We didn’t create hatfuls of chances but a fit striker would’ve probably seen us win. The reluctance to give Osula the last 10 mins to get on the end of something is strange. Happy with sixth, 8 league goals is a concern…
  9. I think I’m going to put some actual music in this thread 😒 And continuing our recent occasional reaggae theme….
  10. Reminds me of what a old work colleague said once …. “ she was the sort of girl who, if you had the incredible good fortune to find yourself invited to get on top of her, you really wouldn’t get off until the neighbours complained about the smell….”
  11. It’s apparently Max Allegri. 6 Serie A titles
  12. Yeah, she may have sent it to an underling who made a cunt of the reply…. <RETURN> <folder/ALL BBC> <SEND>
  13. Yes, no doubt true but at risk of “stating the bleeding obvious” here politics in the early - mid 21st century isn't about the truth it’s about who’s winning the propaganda war. Labour, on this issue, and on a few others that the usual right wing suspects plainly had lying in wait for the predicted change in government, are losing as we speak. The perception is that the Labour cabinet are a bunch of freeloading granny bashers. The truth is irrelevant these days. Starmer’s regime is holed below the waterline already. Hopefully they can bail and repair the damage. Suppose a lot will depend on who the tories elect as leader. Is it beyond the realms of possibility that this unknown individual will be immediately ahead of Starmer in personal approval ratings without having done a thing? Changing that after the start he’s “made” is going to be difficult. If the new Tory leader is a chocolate teapot will they turn in desperation to Farage? If the US can be gamed into voting for Trump in huge numbers in three different elections I think Farage as Tory leader can now win in the UK, mostly because the truth is no longer important or dare I say relevant in politics
  14. Did she email him the questions then accidentally cc half the BBC in, possibly including her boss?
  15. Not sure if this has been posted before or who’s come up with it but it looks fuckin great…. tiny footprint though, it would be a very tricky project… There’s further pics in the comments
