You remind of this bald bloke called Derek Botham who used to present the freeview 10 minutes on the Adult Channel when it first came out. It's stuck in my mind when he presented he used to go "My names Derek Botham." like he was presenting a programme about volcanic rocks. Don't know why exactly, but this made me LOL for real- the people in the office just looked over at me and were all, "What? What's so funny?"

what happens if you join up late? I'm in a couple of leagues currently and wouldn't mind joining, but I don't want to get penalized for not being present for the first two weeks.

No-one on here was having the debate while it was just a ridiculous Fox invention. The problem is the news has shamefully driven the story into something to discuss by constantly covering the polls and initiating protests and forcing every politician to state their voter friendly opinion giving credence to the mock right wing outrage. Yup, pretty much. At least it's football season and I can distract myself with my fantasy team. Word. Rather awkwardly big business had become the enemy and looked uncomfortable in the spotlight, better to get it off center stage sharpish. Drilling rights! What drilling rights? That's funny- that angle hadn't occurred me. Good point!

Funny thing is if that oil spill had gone on for another month, or if some white girl had gotten kidnapped, nobody in this thread would be having this conversation.

If you liked it then you shoulda put a hijab on it

It's the damn media's fault. Running headlines about "the mosque at ground zero", when in reality it's a cultural center some blocks away. What'd they expect? Oh yeah, ratings dollars. Mission accomplished news conglomerates!

Man U are paying £69m interest a year on their debts.

How likely do you think it is they could finish outside of the top 4 this year? I'm being totally serious, by the way. Obviously Chelsea are in there for sure, but Arsenal? I think City and Spurs both have a better shot at ending up top 4 than Liverpool, but how likely is it we see a top 4 without Man United? not a chance they will finish outside the top 4. They are really having a terrible time just now. I think Liverpools slide will continue btw. Top 4 will be Chelsea, ManU, ManCity and Arsenal [in no particular order] I think Hodgson's a great manager, but I don't see how Liverpool's slide can't continue. Tomorrow's match should be interesting nonetheless. Think City will outplay Spurs? Seems like a safe bet to me. -

I would tell you that fact is a bit relative with the NFL's parity via draft and salary cap, but they're playing without a cap this year (for the first time since the early 90's I think), so... nevermind. Ran across this on a quick google- http://content.usatoday.com/communities/th...hester-united/1 Funny how that 95 mil figure keeps popping up. -
No idea who that is, so I'm not sure if I should be offended or flattered. Hey, at least I'm honest.

I'm glad you think so too, man. I really just sat down with a schedule and with the 9-8-21 idea and made the pieces fit. I think there's a couple of draws in there we're not super likely to get, but like you said, there's a couple more wins too. I didn't want to be pie in the sky optimistic, but didn't want to be super doom and gloom either. It is conservative as you've said, but really I was just glad that it seemed possible even assuming we don't end up with some big name signings.

/facepalm. Sorry!

I was talking to a friend of mine about our chances of staying up last week and thought it sorta fit in with this thread. 35 points seems to be just enough to stay up most seasons. Add that info into the schedule and I have NUFC going 9-8-21, which ought to be enough to keep us up. I think it's fairly realistic, what are y'all's thoughts? @ ManU L Villa L @ Wolves D Blackpool W @ Everton L Stoke City D @ Man City L Wigan W @ West Ham D Sunderland W @ Arsenal L Blackburn D Fulham D @ Bolton D Chelsea L @ West Brom L Liverpool L @ B'ham City L Man City L @ Spurs L @ Wigan W West Ham W @ Makems L Spurs L @ Fulham L Arsenal L @ Blackburn L Bolton W Everton D @ Stoke L Wolves W @ Villa L Man U L @ Blackpool W @ Liverpool L Birmingham D @ Chelsea L West Brom W Sorry it looks like shit- I don't know how to work the code tags so good. If somebody with post-editing ability knows how to make it not look so shit, by all means, edit away. 9-8-21. 35 points. Do-able?

as if it could be any more laboured. what the fuck is the point? if murdoch had any sense, he'd send these two packing into early retirement. studio set up needs sorting too. looks like some cheesy 80s quiz show Is it like a big touch screen? FSC had him using that shit all through World Cup. Invariably, he'd begin by drawing a 4-4-2 every time. I'm sitting there going, "You need a touch screen to draw a 4-4-fucking-2?" Oh, and it was shit then too. Lols.

Is that Toonraider? That's your excellent host Wayne Campbell and with him, as always, is Garth.

Love the thread title.

Yeah- but they're asking the Muslim world in the poll. The Muslim world wasn't "on his side and have faith in him" is my point. EDIT: I think you guys might be mixing your graphs- the first one shows a decline in view, the second is why they're disappointed.

http://www.footballfancast.com/2010/08/foo...United_Blogs%29 Good read. Armageddon is surely coming for one of the big PL clubs if the levels of debt aren't addressed. Whatever happened with that income to debt ratio deal the PL was discussing last season?
