  1. Surely the only way they get up to the pace of the league is on the pitch, not in training. A packed home game against a poor team on bad form seems ideal to me.
  2. I hope it’s Bollocks or mind games etc. The next few games “could” show whether Howe is actually up for the mid term here. (I hope he is). Unlike dallying with Darlow, I’d like to be sure he’s not Mr nice guy behind the scenes and he is ruthless enough to drop players that feel aggrieved to be dropped, if it improves the first 11.
  3. Just a reminder for forgetful types like me, tickets for Brighton at home on sale today.
  4. Howe said he’s looking forward to “transitioning” Bruno into the team. Hope I’m just been pessimistic and Bruno starts tomorrow.
  5. I’d be lying if I said it didn’t cross my mind.
  6. Hopefully. But it would be much better for the sanity of the house if it fell on its sword today 🐭
  7. Up bright and early for work at 5.00am until the cat sneaked a mouse into the house Wife has gone absolutely bat shit crazy, threatening to spend all day sitting in her car. So I’ve just spent two hours chasing the little fucker and moving furniture and I’m no further forward. Off to Screwfix for supplies.
  8. Another 3lbs off for me this week giving me 1 stone and 1lb total since Xmas. Find Keto fairly easy, particularly as I’m quite happy eating similar stuff regularly. Also ended up at one meal a day (just through lack of hunger). No alcohol since December either which has been quite hard given the regular drinking during the pandemic. Trying to hold on til the new carb free beer from Budweiser goes on sale this week. Not that I even like ordinary Budweiser but I’ll give it a go.
  9. Im definitely not his biggest fan, but we have 5 games in the next 30 days and we need someone who has the ability to score goals other than ASM. As we now (supposedly) have a stronger defence and stronger midfield, that may allow him to play closer to Wood when we are attacking and get goals. Again, the stronger midfield and defence could mean we are less reliant on Joelintons new found midfield work. I don’t think there’s any easy answers tbh but the possibility of extra goals trumps all else if we are to avoid relegation.
  10. So, after lengthy deliberations, this is my best go at selecting Tuesdays team. Unfortunate on Joelinton, but we have to hope Willock can find the net.
  11. This is what I’m hoping but I don’t have your optimism Howe will do it. Hope you’re right .
  12. I only caught 5 minutes of this game, but the pitch looked it had just hosted a camping music festival. Minging.
  13. It’s a very hard call because if Shelvey and Joelinton play as well as some of their recent performances then I’d have them in. I wasn’t even a fan of Willocks last season. Yes the goals were needed etc but the rest of the time I thought he was quite lazy (might just be me). Hopefully with a more forward looking defence, we might be playing further up the field and not relying on ASM to come deep. Fuck knows
  14. And @Monroe Transfer what happened to him?
