As long as it isn't that clown our previous fantastic board gave the job to.

Allardyce wants to bolster back line
Kevin Carr's Gloves replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
You certainly do take the phrase "like a broken record" to a whole new level. Shepherd and his cronies are gone, we are better off for it, everyone can see that, now get over it. We aren't better off in the league just yet, we may be close to it when we qualify for the Champions League and sign the quality of player that the old board backed their managers to sign. I take it you don't understand the concept of judging by results ? I suggest that if you persist in re-writing history and claiming the current board is better than the old board, when they have done jack shit to show it other than buying a pint for half of Tyneside, or any other PR stunts, to take off your rose tinted specs and wake up. That is what I call "like a broken record" ie the amount of times I've heard people spout this utter shite. Question for you. Is what I say in the earlier post that you clipped, correct or not ? Same old Leazes. Can I ask do you swallow when FFS pops his load in your mouth? pathetic. Is your knowledge and understanding of the club so shite you can't even respond to the points I make ? My Knowledge and understaning are that Ashley and Mort have not been here a full season as yet and have a lot of work to do re building a club almost brought to it's knees by the previous board. You constantly talk shite about stats and results and never listen to anybody else or admit you're wrong. WHy should people show you that courtesy? -
quoted from chronicle live Speaking purely for myself BS has a lot to prove to me yet before i believe we are turning the corner. His team selections and tactics need to show a marked improvement. However I do have a theory. It is that Mort and Ashley can see that the club is being built up in the background and are happy for that to continue. I have a feeling come the end of the season they will punt BS and get someone else in whilst offering more to the background staff than wherever BS goes to. I may be wrong it has happened in the past but that is my theory.

Mort has said we splashed out loads on defenders that BS signed in the autumn and we should concentrate on getting them to play as a unit. I agree with him.

I understand what you're saying but he will have to win something to make me watch the turgid shite he has been putting on view since taking over. I wont put up with nearly doing something if I have to watch boring crap football. -
See tht's what happens when you're at work. He is making a comeback which I find distasteful as I believe him to be a kiddy fiddler. Fiddler=Violin player.

What do you reckon does he play the violin or not. I think he does.

I am deadly serious. Although they have been rather poor of late. The last ten years in fact. But I stand by my statement, they're virtually the only band that will be talked of 20 years from now from this period in the way we talk about the Smiths, Roses etc IMO. In fact the only other band that springs to mind is Radiohead. I agree with you to a certain extent Luke. The first two albums were superb, classics. The B-sides and album tracks were better than the stuff the rest were releasing at the time. But since then the drop-off in quality has been massive. Their other albums range from rubbish to average. In fact their third best album is the B-sides collection. It's probably no coincidence that the quality dropped at the same time the mega-bucks came rolling in. I think it started when they stopped doing drugs. Get them back on the marching powder! I agree that Be Here Now is underrated (including by the band themselves, but then again Noel thinks Ryan Adams' version of Wonderwall is good so what does he know?). By the way T-Keith I listened to Maximo Park that you're always bumming, utter shite. I see that and raise you a -

Newcastle must give Allardyce time

I see you're getting confused. What I said was he wasn't successful. How happy would we be with Allardyce's record at NUFC to be comparable to Bruse's record at Brum. What I was doing was pointing out the flaw in the argument that consistency = Success. I agree, the only reason people reckon that consistency equals success is because good managers keep their jobs and shite managers get sacked pretty sharpish. I was trying to say that but seem to have failed miserably. -
clever, a joke that covers multiple sports, good work KCG Only Joke I ever posted on here that someone thought was clever. Yay!!!!

I agree with the sentiment, but I just hate that patronising, Liverpool-supporting wanker McNulty. Caçapa "out of his depth in the Premier League", he must have seen less games than I have! He should stick to wanking over Liverpool. And neither is sticking with the same manager. Birmingham were under Bruce for 6 years. (I think don't jump down my throat if I am wrong) Bruce did a canny job at Birmingham imo. What did he win? Before I answer, you are taking the piss, right? No I am not in 6 years in charge he has won nothing. Where does that show consistency gets results? Maybe if they were actually real challengers for trophies anyway you'd have a point, but they weren't so i'll say it again... Fuck off Good argument well done. When Sam took over were we challengers for anything? Birmingham has a population of 2,284,065 est even with 3 teams in the local it gives them about as big a support base as us. Plus they have been succesful in the past. So again why does consistency guarantee success? -

A professional person in another industry would get a certain amount of time to turn around the situation without the constant ridicule of customers and the press. Marks and Sparks has had a REALLY long slow climb to it's current position from it's crash about ten years back, but it's gained a modicum of success from it. I know this was posted way back but.. The team at Marks posted business plans on how they were going to achieve success. They had quarterly meetings at which proof of improvement was shown and the next stage planned. Below thoose quarterly meetings will have been monthly weekly and daily meetings in which any problems were brought up shared and fixed. At NUFC we have Big Sam not giving any proof of improvement at all. -

You were supposed to download it and have it on in the background while watching Jam 'to simulate surround sound' Ah that'l work class on the piece though. Hopefully its not copywrited though, i mean if they let me D/l it then surely i can use it? Just need a few more now, distant germans screaming etc, whistles/gunfire There's nothing on the site saying its copyrighted so I assume it's a safe bet. Anyway, it's only artillery fire. Yeh i think its looped to an extent too, I bet the director turns around and says 'thats world war two mate, world war two' Why? Is he a cunt? Nah he just wants it accurate. Use sound from Zulu. They did in Gladiator.
