  1. no way man, martins has shown flashes of brilliance and is always willing to put in the hard yards. shame about his positional sense and his movement. they both need to get better. one of our top 5 players this year.
  2. thats very true (about sony being c**ts) i know 2 people that work for sony (or have worked for sony). their corporate philosiphy stinks and the people they employ are pretty mediocre human beings that would screw you over as soon as talk to you!
  3. june 16th for me. same as trevor brooking (not actual age)
  4. blu-ray, whilst a great idea is massively overpriced and hyped. the components that go into a blue ray dvd player cost less than $40... also the biggest exponent of change is not you or I, its the porn industry, and they are going hd-dvd. they sell far more dvd's and videos than the normal outlets in the biggest markets in the world.
  5. not a bad player and a good stopgap. useful squad player next season when we replace luque with a target man(hopefully). not as good a footballer as shola but much harder working and does more for the team tbh (as someone stated earlier better at defending set plays etc)...
  6. fair play to the man, hope he does well out of it.
  7. get the train in brock, its far easier.
  8. rolf harris is a legend to be honest. little story for you if you don't mind. was at a didgeridoo festival last year and we broke the world record for the amount of people playong the didge in one place (think we had 245). once it was done we got a phone call from Rolf himself congratulating us. i think thats really nice to be honest. needless to say i didn't play the didge but recorded the event on video for the guinness book of records. i am after all a percussionist and keyboardist first, and not too good at the didge.
  9. last few games we've been scoring with every shot thats been on target though spurs we had 3 shots on target and 3 goals.... makes you wonder!
  10. definitely a wobbleboard. also a good didgeplayer *though not that good* and stylophone expert.
  11. 3-1 but only after being stifled for 75 minutes....
  12. damn right. awesome player in pro evo. play him just off the centre forward and his mobility passing and shooting are phenomenal, can tackle a bit as well.
  13. legally you would get away with this. what on earth was the courier thinking. if i employed that driver i'd sack the dickhead? are you sure a neighbour didn't sign for it?
  14. whilst i doubt we'll struggle against this team, my bet is we go pretty much un prepared. butts a reasonable choice for captain. in a good run of form for the team at the moment as well.
  15. thought this thread was about liverpool supporters, not where we were born. not that that matters of course.
  16. Di stefano was the complete footballer, great engine, technique, range of passing, shooting, heading and dribbling skills, good pace as well. I think I am right in saying that according to his coaches during his time at Real Madrid, they said that he was their second best player at everything but in terms of the team overall he was their best player. i agree with brehme, and my top left back ever was the big haired left back during the 74 and 82 world cups, was it breitner? can never remember, played for germany, munich and real madrid. great footballer.
  17. different kind of forwards really. shearer was a target man with limited pace, good without being great technique and had outstanding technique for goalscoring inside and outside the box. gerd mullers stats say that he was clearly the best and most natural goalscorer the game has ever seen. didn't have much else to his game apart from goalscoring however. thats why he's often in peoples top 10 players but not top 5 as i see it. if shearer had played in a world class club side with better players than we had at his peak i could see him winning a european cup or a league title. however he from the relatively young age that he got his first cruciate injury, was probably always carrying a few knocks. when he had that injury when he was first with us i really don't think he recovered to 100% of his previous best. a fully fit Alan shearer at his peak however was still however the outstanding english forward of his generation. as it stands i'd have Muller and van basten up front.
  18. wonder what the man himself thinks. if i were him i'd be embarrased at having a bar named after me, and as for a statue.... no way. reckon one of milburn is definitely right.
  19. Didn't adams play in euro 96, was one of the best players in that tournament?
  20. wouldnt bother unless it was of him painting his fence ( like when he celebrated the blackburn title win).
  21. where's the male, just dumped the bird cos she didn't like my card and i was going to dump her any way....?
  22. winston silcott armand van helden ron jeremy peter purves steve howey
