hate to say it but sibierski has never been a forward in his career. thats why he did so poorly at city in terms of goalscoring and creativity... the lads never had pace, but because he can head a ball and offers decent ( not great) technique, people play him up front. to be fair to our current squad, when fully fit he is definitely 5th in the pecking order we have for forwards and due to his age i'd tell willy mckay to fuck off and take 1 year.

from a chairmans point of view you can see why he (roeder) is there. lapdog thats cheap. he's a competent coach that clearly has his favourites, and unfortunately his favourites aren't necessarily ours. if we get top 8 then i'd be happy this season. if we get a better manager, i'd be even happier next season. i really don't think we should employ shearer as a coach or manager until he's at least proven he can actually coach....

thats one of the main problems with milner, i also note his movement isn't particularly great. technically hes quite good at everything except for deliveries into the box which for me is a prime requisite. parker as i have said would work really well as part of a 5 man midfield, as he buzzes around everywhere and gets his foot in. we desperately need two mobile full backs that want to play for the team, seems that carr and babyaro aren't actually good enough or quick enough and don't offer enough going forward. nobby's done a fine job at right back but his legs are going now and its only a matter of time.... in terms of creativity from midfield surely thats a matter of organisation, ideally i'd like (when we have enough fit forwards) dyer given a free role, and butt to mop up infront of the back 4. the 2 wide players would go narrow when we didnt have the ball thus denying the opposition the space theyd require. parker whilst a good huff and puff hard yards man can't create enough, and despite his tackling being good his distribution is pretty damn average. sounds simple, and is simple, and would make us more compact and difficult to play against. just my $0.02.
