Reporter: Welcome to Southampton Football Club. Do you think you are the right man to turn things around? Strachan: No. I was asked if I thought I was the right man for the job and I said, "No, I think they should have got George Graham because I'm useless." Reporter: Is that your best start to a season? Strachan: Well I've still got a job so it's far better than the Coventry one, that's for sure. Reporter: Are you getting where you want to be with this team? Strachan: We're not doing bad. What do you expect us to be like? We were eighth in the league last year, in the cup final and we got into Europe. I don't know where you expect me to get to. Do you expect us to win the Champions League? Reporter: Gordon, you must be delighted with that result? Strachan: You're spot on! You can read me like a book. Strachan: I've got more important things to think about. I've got a yogurt to finish by today, the expiry date is today. That can be my priority rather than Agustin Delgado. Reporter: This might sound like a daft question, but you'll be happy to get your first win under your belt, won't you? Strachan: You're right. It is a daft question. I'm not even going to bother answering that one. It is a daft question, you're spot on there. Reporter: Bang, there goes your unbeaten run. Can you take it? Strachan: No, I'm just going to crumble like a wreck. I'll go home, become an alcoholic and maybe jump of a bridge. Umm, I think I can take it, yeah. Reporter: There's no negative vibes or negative feelings here? Strachan: Apart from yourself, we're all quite positive round here. I'm going to whack you over the head with a big stick, down negative man, down. Reporter: Where will Marion Pahars fit into the team line-up? Strachan: Not telling you! It's a secret. Reporter: You don't take losing lightly, do you Gordon? Strachan: I don't take stupid comments lightly either. Reporter: So, Gordon, in what areas do you think Middlesbrough were better than you today? Strachan: What areas? Mainly that big green one out there... Strachan was on Sky on Sunday morning. He saw John Terry's goal and said he was impressed that Terry goes up expecting to score. He contrasted this to Claus Lundekvam the Saints central defender who goes up for every dead ball and never ever looks remotely like scoring. He said if there was a dead body lying in the penalty area the ball would hit it on the head several times a season which he said is more than Lundekvam can manage. He said referees should book Lundekvam for timewasting every time he goes up for a corner. When the co-commentator said if Lundekvam was watching Strachan was only joking. Strachan assured him he was deadly serious.

white trash icon. really not a massive loss to the world imho. feel sorry for the baby to be honest. not really a great role model of a mother. -
Cruise being talked up as unrecognised 'Messiah'!

the guys a loon. a very powerful one at that. wouldn't mind his last 2 wives however. -

SJP to host Champions League football this season?
tinofbeans replied to smoggeordie's topic in Newcastle Forum
if we could host it we'd get some much needed cash in i guess. enough to keep fat fred in ginsters for a couple of days. -
Would do well here if given a decent run in the team. not just all pace. his final ball was good at city and if played for more that 30 minutes a game would surely benefit. scored some spectacular goals as well. Also needs help with his confidence as like duff he's very much a confidence player.
-
if we could i'd swap him for pedersen of blackburn. proper player tbh.
-
surely theres someone decent that can be loaned to us. a team like man utd must have some good prospects. someone like richardson would do a job?
-
vic reeves club singing...
-
who's been our best player then so far? martins? butt? Solano? Milner?
-
waste of oxygen tbh.
-
1 - vidic - the reason Manchester utd have such a good goal difference, for my money the best centreback in the premiership. 2 - Drogba - unplayable 3 - ronaldo - footballing genius let down by his awful diving.

people like this do so much damage to families, i don't think chemical castration is enough. death penalty for them. definitely.
-
from what i know of him he's always been a dedicate professional that gave his all. i read somewhere that when at chelsea he spent a large part of the day sleeping so that he could be fresh for the next days training. i think he's massively lacking in confidence which, by defenition makes up a fair bit of his game.
-
thats the right answer actually. no one player is bigger than the national team. franks a bright lad apparently, so it seems unusual for him not to be able to see if he were doing the work barton was doing ( i.e. box to box and holding midfield) then i doubt we'd see the same number of goals from him. he has the best destructive midfielders (essien and makalele) doing the dirty work for him at the moment.

gerrard has the ability to take the game by the scruff of the neck. lampard doesn't. gerrard has a better range of passing and crossing ability. he is more mobile, and can tackle better. the reason he's been off form this season is that his gak snorting wag bird has been shacked up with a drug dealer. that could kind of affect you. lampard is by no means bad but he's allegedly the first one to moan or sledge someone on the pitch when things aren't going well. and he is fluky with his shooting.
-
if all this is true then they should fuck lampard off. our worst player at the world cup and since 04 not very effective in an england shirt. poor mans paul scholes tbh and no where as good as gerrard. better than barton though.
-
not particularly good tbf.
-
definite hom. way past his best musically as well.
-
best news for a while for my money.

surely ewerk you mean inverted.. this is a strange move. i'd actually start a pay as you play scheme for someone like le sib.... that way you'll get the most out of his limited capabilities. we need him to the summer at least however, as we are so short of striking/ bald options.

i think its disgusting stuff like this is perpetually covered up. but for the sake of "national or global security" or some other tagline its really stuff we should be hearing about. i also know we had in 2003 lost more troops to friendly fire than to enemy fire. that is scary.
