  1. Alex already part covered this. I think past his best is a relative term, he’s probably still able to do sub 11 sec 100m and still has 85-90% of his talent. It is generally just motivation. As soon as he’d won the European cup / chumps league, well that was it, he’d pretty much got the lot…. It’d certainly be it for me. That and the divorce may well have been messy. Not mine, but his.
  2. it seems logical to most people that your pundits on either channel should have character and be knowledgeable. Keegan and southgate were good for itv and chiles is an everyman presenter. the beeb has to get rid of shearer as he's awful. townsend offers nothing insightful and presents as f he were selling you a pound of potatoes from his barrow. . thought seedorf and woy hodgson were first class.
  3. too old for the premiership. would want too much money as well.
  4. xavi surely, he's yet again been the player of the tournament for me ..... though sneijders been pretty damn good as well.
  5. What about teams from Kingston? moving back to Plough lane so ... stfu Where did you get that from? Drove past it about a month ago, big fat block of flats there now... Kingsmeadow is fine, I went to see AFC vs Dorchester. Danny Kedwell scored a cracker. Not for this season apparently. And Danny Kedwell is a machine. Whats not for this season? Kings Meadow? Merton council will never allow AFC to demolish the housing to rebuild Plough Lane. Someone mentioned the dog track, thats more believable. Beleive Tesco's have first refusal. not sure mind.
  6. Had he arrived at any other time I don't think he'd have developed into the player he did. very probably right. cracking player though. him and batty was a great partnership. made the game look easy. Actually (and I promise I'm not just being pedantic here) I think the best I saw him play was alongside Lee Clark (with Clark 'sitting in' behind him). Likewise when he played with Venison prior to that he had licence to get forward. I felt that he lost a touch of his attacking side alongside Batty in the 96/97 season because KK played Shearer and Sir Les upfront so there was a bigger gap between the forwards and midfielders as Beardsley was moved out wide / back into midfield to allow for this. That's being ultra-critical and is really only in relation to the excellence that went before. Rob Lee and Batty were a quality partnership. Of course Dalglish came in 96/97 and after that Rob Lee suffered a bit like the rest of the side (not when Dalglish first arrived but after). Gullit's treatment of Lee was a disgrace too. Not given a squad number to him and playing a sweeper in midfield instead (Dumas). adaptable as well. could play defensive midfield, centre mid ( kind of box to box) attacking mid, wide, and second striker ( as he did occasionally for charlton). not bad for what 700k... ?

  8. mcleish has turned him into a hard working wide midfielder.... has a good left foot but not enough speed to get away from the better full backs.
  9. Rob Lee for me. had the lot except pace, and kept the game simple. very smart on the ball later in his career. if only we'd have discovered him at a younger age.
  10. pundit watch. Shearer is absolutely gash. nothing good to say about him at all. Hansen is in need of replacing, same tired old routine... Seedorf is reasonably intelligent and articulate, shame he doesn't get more time with the 2 nobheads above prattling on. Dixons actually insightful. on ITV Davids is awful. Townsend is absolute shit southgate is reasonable Marcel is enthusiastic but lacks depth.
  11. think its the londonbased media , but what i've heard is before the world cup gerrard is sticking his cock in pretty much anything that moves. rooney supposedly sees a prostitute in south africa, and the camp was divided. i personally think its all shit. this was all sent to me by a chelsea fan so its actually got to be shit!
  12. new kit looks like it costs about 90p to make. absolute shit.
  13. Needs to be more object orientated ie killer ap for my money. If the piano keyboard could talk to synths for instance. osc and ableton live (via max for live) works for me only bummer is (as you would expect) the keyboards are not velocity sensitive. good for sliders and panning and such like.... you need a router though but works at home for me....
  14. he's a left back. not a very good one at that.
  15. that'd be nice. i reckon if the true england team turn up that we all know (though do not love), we could win. reckon this one will be very attritional. if we win in 90 i reckon we could kick on.... if we don't we will lose horrendously at penalties.
  16. feeling those wheels craig. nice aye. very.
  17. yamaha hs 80m studio monitors. rme fireface. virus ti, ableton live. all i need to make a right fucking racket...
