I'm always surprised at how some teams bigwigs react quickly to bad runs and poor performance while we don't. Swansea are above us in the league by 1 point and 3 places, but it's Monk who's fired, not McClaren. The win against Liverpool might have saved him from joining Monk on the dole. Will Southampton tip the scales? Surely if we lose and Blunderland sends us back into second from bottom it's a pink-slip situation for McClaren.

Rayvin, I don't know where you get your reckoning from. We scored 2 goals, deflections always count. If their offside goal had counted we would have still won 2 - 1

The last 10 minutes was the longest nail-biting 10 minutes I've ever suffered through. Don't know where the fuck that referee got 5 minutes stoppage time from,, I was expecting about 1 or 2!! Scared me when the Brolly-boy put Gouffran in. DeJong did alright, I've always thought he could be an asset to us. Can't pick anyone out who had a bad game. Slaggers of Colo stand up and be counted.

Looky heor noo, I played left-half most of the time(always seemed to be a shortage of left footed players, I was right footed). As I got older and slower seems like the thing to do was fall back into central defense which I did. When I heard Willo was recalled I thought FOR FUCKS SAKE, McClaren should have given me a tinkle. I would have gladly dug out me old boots(keep them dubbined), at my age I know I have more to offer than Willo the Wimp.

I honestly think Colo is being subjected to far too much slagging on here. Sure he's getting on, sure his flaws are increasing, but he does put in some good blocks and challenges, and is still capable of having a decent game. He's comfortable on the ball and does carry if forward quite well. I believe his overall performance as a centre-half and captain is lacking, but I've seen a lot worse wearing a black n' white shirt in that position.

But why recall Williamson because of an injury to Lascells? It's a substitute for Dummett at left back that's a problem, not central defense if you consider that current bench-warmer Sterry is a central/right side defender, and being on the bench means he must have risen to some level of competence.

How worse can it get? Palace just lost to the Mackems and they'll exact their revenge by hammering us.

High hopes my fucking arse! For 90 minutes we never looked like we would score, for 90 minutes we never looked like we could win. On 75 minutes there was a mass exodus of fans from the stands, and who could blame them for leaving a disaster area. Wijnaldum was pretty much anonymous and played like a pansy. Sissoko should have worn a blue shirt, not because he's French, but because most of his last touches went to them. Where the fuck was Janmaat or Mbemba on that free header second goal? Dummett was useless in defending and not much cop going forward. Can't fault Mitrovic cos he got little to no service to work with. Can't fault Elliot for the goals except perhaps the third one. Having doubts about McClaren as a motivator of men. Thought he would have had them all fired up and playing like they meant it.

I think playing the French national anthem at Premier league games this weekend is a load of bollocks. When did they ever play any national anthem before league games when there were similar Islamic actions in other tragedies world wide? Was it done for 9/11 in New York? A lot more than 129 dead in the Twin Towers tragedy, and quite a few Brits among them. I'm sorry but I think it's bollocks.

I think putting DeJong on instead of Cisse would have been a better choice of subs, he's got more to offer than Cisse in a game like that.

3 points we didn't deserve, but I'll take 'em! I'd be hard pressed to remember a more painful match to watch, and god knows there's been some. We were never in the game and never looked like winning. Sissoko was absolute rubbish, Wijnaldum was mostly anonymous. Colo did well but Elliot was unbelievable, never thought he was as capable as he was today. Was this the same team I watched last week?? What should have been a good game was 90 minutes of nail-biting anguish. Can't believe we weren't scored on, they were all over us from start to finish. Funnily enough Thauvin did alright in the short time he was on.

Let's face it, the last 3 games have seen a good performance from us albeit we only got 4 points from a possible 9. I think each performance has shown an improvement despite the fact the one we lost can be attributed to a referee's error. I think we were decent against Norwich, better against Blunderland, and better again against Stoke. The problem was the absence of goals in 2 of the 3 games, games in which we had the chances to score but didn't. We should have scored at least one against Stoke but unfortunately their goalie played like Gordon Banks. If we keep playing as well and the goals start to come I think we'll be alright. With Gini, Perez, Metrovic, Sissoko, and perhaps deJong, I think the goals will start coming if McClaren doesn't mess with the potential strike force.

Same old story, if you don't score you won't win. Can't fault the upscale performance put in today, had it not been for their keeper we would have waltzed it. Still some steam left in Colo's boiler. We are definitely looking more like a team of some worth.

Fuck me, I've been harping on about deJong fo a while and now his name's come up.

One plus sign is the absence of Williamson from the bench. With Mbemba, Colo, Lascelles, Dutton, as central defenders we may have seen the last of Willo. Dutton has done well in that position before. Played well against Norwich and against Blunderland so maybe McClaren has turned the corner. Can't fault him for the loss to the Mackems.

What is wrong with McClaren? No deJong again FFS, wouldn't he have been a better option than Thauvin when we are 3 goals down. Maybe Cisse would have been a better choice than Thauvin at that stage.

Utterly disappointed but not too surprised. Too much hype after the Norwich match. Total domination in the first half but no end result. Penalty yes, Red card NO. Even with 10 men we should have at least got a draw. Dummett should have replaced Colo and Haidara brought on instead of Lascells.
