My concern about the Spurs game is our midfield and the ability to cope with Bale's pace and scoring ability. I think the key to getting anything from this match will be to neutralize their engineroom and feed our Dembas.

3 Points ..... Brilliant. Demba 1 scores again ......Brilliant. Demba 2 scores on his debut .....Brilliant. Krul had more to do than Given ......Brilliant. Obertan actually put a sliding tackle in on Zoggy ........ Brilliant. Must say if it hadn't been for Krull we would have lost that game.

Watched some of the Man City game and the weather was awful. Snowing all the time and by the final whistle the grass looked on the white side. Any chance of our match being called off? Wouldn't really mind if it was as these early kick-offs mean me getting up at 5 in the morning and that's not ower canny fer an owld gadgee.

He wasn't supported well enough. Had nothing to do with support, it had everything to do with what he did when he had the ball, which amounted to bugger all. Twice he walked it over the line and gave them a throw-in. Another time he turned a defender 3 times in the box then turned it out for a goal kick.

On watching the game one has to feel a bit sorry for Blackburn. They had more than twice our shots on goal, they had more shots off target than we did. They missed a penalty, and they had 14 corners to our 2. Our front two posed little threat to them, and they kept up continuous pressure on our defence, and Best's best try at goal was when he headed against the crossbar,...... our crossbar. Ameobi was useless as usual, can't see why Pardoo keeps playing him. BenArfa was a bigger disappointment than he has been in the past 2 games.

3 points, ......... brilliant. Overall performence ......... pathetic.

Words never fail me. That was fucking disgraceful to put it mildly. Stroller was his usual best, his best being useless as usual. BenArfa was totally disappointing, he did nothing of any description. Jonas was disappointedly quiet and disappointing. Best was trying but not hard enough, he should have sank that header early on. Cabaye & Guthrie put in decent shifts but not decent enough to control the game. Perch did as well as you could expect him to do, which isn't a whole lot. Willo is lost without Colo. Wilson, (ok Simpson) is not high on my list of good right full-backs. Santoni (sounds more woppish with an 'i') wasnn't as effective as he has been. And then comes Pardoo, triple change when it's near the end, we're one behind, and neither one of them is a forward likely to score. FFS.

I may sound like a broken record, but I really have to question Pardoo's tactical forte. 4 - 1 down and he puts Gosling on for Cabaye, Perch on for Guthrie, and Raylor on for Best. Was his tactics meant to enhance our attack and score goals, or keep it from being a cricket score?

FUCK!! Talk about self-destruction that was a woeful second half. A good flowing first half, a one goal lead, I thought it was in the bag. I should know better, this is Newcastle. When was the last time we had 5 goals scored against us in the second half?? Sick as a chip. Sick as a parrot. Sick to my stomach.

Happy with the result, happy with the 3 points, happy to go above Liverpool, but not happy with our performence. One shot on goal FFS. Stroller was abysmal, and apart from his goal Best wasn't starting any fires. I think we can forget about Pardoo starting BenArfa unless there's no bugger else. Guthrie put in a decent shift in place of Tiote. First 30 minutes almost 85% of the balls played into their half went to one of their players. Jonas' last touch balls were worse than usual. Krul did his job. Back four were a bit dodgey at times. Perch has got to bbe sleeping with Pardoo!!

Don't know how much he was on at Newcastle, nor how much he is on at Liverpool but I'm sure it's a lot more. If it's not 3-4 times more then I stand corrected.

Apart from when he leaves us to join a club like Liverpool, you mean. No, I don't mean that!! Look at Gazza, went to London, then Italy, then Scotland, back to England, but always a Black & White Geordie boy.

Based on current form and goals scored I definitely wouldn't swap Ba for Carroll. However I lean towards Carroll cos he's from Gateshead. He'll be a Black & White Geordie all his life. He likes a sup, has some baggage, but doesn't need to fast or use a prayer-mat.

i'm from avellaneda, near la boca. Can't say Avellaneda is a familiar name but maybe I just don't remember. Had a girlfriend in Olivos, and the ship's football team used to play in La Boca and San Vicente. Used to get the train from Retiro station in Buenos Aires. Usually played games against the Aduana or anyone I could arrange a match with.

I'm not that impressed with Sammy, he's short on experience, lots of effort, all legs like a new-born colt, and hasn't shown much in end results of his hard work. Better coming off the bench IMO.

Not sure, but I'd be less interested in speed if he can get past people, put in good crosses, and provide better service than Obertan does.
