First half showed some improvement from the usual miserable displays but the second half took us back to reality. Jonas did a lot better but as usual there was no finished product. Enrique had another decent game but as usual most of his last touches went too long or directly to one of their players. Simpson is just no good going forward. I could go on and on about our frailties and lack of class but what's the point, we should have buried Derby in the first half and I fully expected us to do that in the second but as the game wore on I could see us not scoring and Derby perhaps sneaking a winner in. Thank God they didn't and thank God we at least got one point. Dropping 4 points in two games against a team in the bottom three and the other not much higher does not bode well for us when the other teams are winning and closing the point-gap.

Another 2 points hoyed doon the netty thanks in main to Harpo.(not that he didn't have some help from the other clowns) I hope that's the last time I see Harewood in a Black n' White shirt, he's a waste of valuable space when you've got Carroll & the lone Ranger chomping at the bit.. Have to question Hughton's savvy for leaving Harewood on for 83 useless minutes. What's with Colo & Enrique dribbling on the goaline and giving away un-necessary corners. And Guthrie ...........well less than impressive. And Simpson ..........well even less impressive. Another match we should have come away from with 3 points but I suppose one is better than none.

We are grinding out the points but we are not showing any improvement in the way we play and that's hard to understand given the quality and experience we have in the squad. Despite the goal Harewood was shite. Despite the goal Ameobe wasn't much better. Despite the 2 goals we were pretty toothless in attack. Jonas' forward movement of the ball in the first half could be attributed to the number of free kicks he was awarded. Defence was quite solid and Colo had a decent game.

Brilliant result but on listening to the radio commentary we were bloody lucky to keep a clean sheet. Seems like we played well until the last 10 minutes or so in the first half and then got back to normal. Seems like the second half was all one-way traffic going in the wrong direction. Can't buy this sitting back excuse, I believe Swansea came out for the second half with some real purpose and outplayed us. What's the story on this new player? I know he came on real late but his name wasn't mentioned once by the commentator after he made his appearance. Let's hope it doesn't get to goal difference at the end cos West Brom are certainly racking up them goals.

Nobility and integrity are human ideals. I think sport does and should aspire to higher ideals. Nobility & integrity are indeed basicl ideals in humans but unfortunately not enough humans aspire to them, on or off the field of play. Sport definitely should aspire to higher ideals but again unfortunately it does not in many cases. Seeking an unfair advantage over an opponent is joined at the hip with cheating. In very recent years I have been appalled at the amount of pushing and shoving on corner kicks, the amount of shirt pulling, and the amount of diving. Didn't used to be as bad as it is today.

I don't like him either but...........lot of truth in what he said and the Irish have to get over it. The Paddys laughed their heads off at England's 'Hand of God' episode but we're not laughing at them. If the officials don't see it then it never happened even if everyone in the stands and in the box saw it. For 2 months in 2004 Mr.Pud. Was in the habit of going home every 3 years and should have been back in 2007 but my wife became terminally ill with cancer in 2005 and I couldn't/wouldn't go anywhere. She died last year and I considered going home this year but decided I wasn't up to it and will do it next year for sure. Since retiring in 1993 my visits have been for 2 months and always geared to our first home game of the season. In 2004 managed to see 5 games and met Bobby Robson 5 days before he was fired.
