  1. Jesus Christ!! why do we have this propensity to fall apart in the second half, especially when we go into the dressing-room 3 - 1 up. As the second half went on and after they got their second goal I honestly began to think they were going to get a third goal and salvage a point. The back four were like a sieve with enlarged holes. R. Taylor lost the ball a little too easily but had a decent first game. Perhaps Lovenkrands should have started last week. Ameobe, fer God's sake, how much longer do I have to suffer his mediocrasy. However, a good 3 points that we needed.
  2. I hope your 'IMO' turns out to be true that we're not 'down' but nailed to the bottom 5 - 6. I've been very lucky for the past 2 seasons having seen every Newcastle league game plus some cup games via the Fox Soccer Channel and the Setanta channel be it LIVE(mostly live) taped-delay or repeat. If we go down it's all over, FSC does not show Champions league games and Stanta usually one a week and you know that won't be us every week.
  3. You fucking what? I take it you mean apart from at least 3 fuck-ups that nearly lead directly to goals for Sunderland. Absolutely unbelievable comment that like. I luv you Alexandra
  4. Shola had his usual below potential showing, sure he took a good penalty but wor lass could have done as well. He's always lacked that "I'm gonna bury you" aggression you'd like to see in a striker. I'm beginning to be tad disappointed with Carroll, his first touch control is poor, lets the ball bounce too far away from him. I can't say I've seen any real pace either, sometimes looks like a cart-horse. I don't see him taking on opponents in dribbling runs towards goal and I want to see that. Shola does albeit not too well most of the time. I want to see him do well cos he's a Gatesheed lad like me. Colo's positional play is not the best and I have to fault him for the Mackems goal. He does a lot of things well but he's not the finished article of a stopper I'd like to see. Bassong was on-song, again. I think he's going to be a jewel in the back 4. Enrique was half-way decent today but I'd like to see one game where his passes didn't go to the other side as though it was planned that way. Taylor had a good game at right back, maybe he should concentrate on that position cos I can't see him displacing Bassong. Duff was his usual energetic run arond like hell self that was lacking in any purposeful finish to his endeavours. Butt was disappointing, again. He's becoming hot & cold again, losing consistancy. I had hoped that Nolan would have an impact on the game but he didn't. Very quiet in the first half but came on stronger in the second. I think he will become an asset for the Club. Spiderman is beginning to look more like what he was in the beginning, cutting through the defence like a knife through melting butter. I wish he had taken the penalty and scored, I've got to see him put that fucking mask on. Kinnear needs to give Loverman more playing time or we'll never see what he has to offer or whether he's any good for us.
  5. That's an easy enough question to answer kiddo. When you get pushed off a cliff(wor Kev pushed into leaving) your speed of decline accelerates 32 feet per second per second until you reach the bottom.
  6. Sad in one way, glad in another. He did have flashes of brilliance but they were inconsistant, could have been an asset but he ran hot & cold. One thing for sure though, he has been a pouty-lipped wanker from day one, not the kind you want in the dressing-room or on the practice pitch.
  7. Wotcheor lads, late in posting I know but I've just got home from the hospital where I was taken by ambulance after becoming mentally distraught after another pathetic loss engineered by that idiot Kinnear. My distraughness began when I saw the starting line-up with Colo in the middle and Spiderman on the bench. I knew then that it was me going round the bend and not Kinnear who is mad. After sedation and straight-jacket treatment I was released Thursday afternoon with a supply of valium which will last until May. However, I am to return to the hospital on Saturday as an inpatient for preventative treatment in view of my mental state of decline being accelerated by what could transpire on Sunday.
  8. To suddenly cast blame on Keegan and Allardyce for the mess we are in is typical of a person who is realizing that he doesn't have the answers to the problems which existed when he gleefully took the job and is trying to cover his arse. It's quite noticable that he is not yet pointing the finger of blame at Ashley and Wise who are greatest contributors to the debacle that is growing every day, but that will no doubt occur when he is in deeper shit and facing the axe. Kinnear is an English born Irishman who failed to kiss the Blarney Stone when he was on his occasional trips to Ireland to play football, so subsequently the blarney that comes out of his mouth is bad blarney interspaced with swear words. He may have steadied the boat a wee bit since he arrived but the ship is still sinking. The ship's crew are struggling to stop the leakage but are unable to do so, the only hope to stay afloatl is for the Admiral in charge to convince the Authorities to free-up some funds to buy balers.
  9. I thought the hiring of Allardyce was a mistake. I thought the firing of Allardyce was the right thing to do. I thought Ashley buying the Club would move us forward. I thought the hiring of Keegan was a master-stroke if only as a player/supporter moral boost. I thought the hiring of Dennis Wise was a disaster waiting to happen. I thought the situation that caused Keegan to walk away was Ashley's stupid mistake. I thought Ashley should have admitted his mistake and fired Wise. I thought Kinnear was an out of work bloke who would jump at any chance. I thought ....................................................
  10. I just knew we would lose. I just knew Allardyce would be thumbing his nose at us. I just knew. Only a state beyond madness can be reached by idiots, Kinnear has reached it. Only a madman would have started Barton ahead of Jonas in substitutions. Only a stupid man would have waited so long before he made substitutions. Only other team results are keeping us afloat and out of the bottom 3.
  11. What bothers me the most is the asinine things Kinnear spouts off to the Press who latch on to every thing he sputters and build on it to bring the "sensationalism" to it. This latest spout about sitting down in the summer to talk about investment in the Club, .... is he fucking mad? ..... some sort of investment needs to be made NOW, not in the fucking summer. If someone doesn't show some positive steps this January it might well be a Championship management that sits down to talk in the summer of discontent. Is it only my imagination that says Kinnear is really a kiss-arse toady like the vicar of Bray.
  12. Not surprised we lost, wish we hadn't, I'm sure Kinnear had a good reason not to start Carroll but then putting him in late on rubbished his reasoning. Sick as a chip, sick as a parrot, sick as a dog, in fact just plain sick of losing games we should be winning.
  13. Even more depressing when I read that Boyer is the 5th addition to the Brummies squad, nine days into the January window and they've got five players in and we've got neebugger. Hats off to Ashley, hats off to Kinnear, hats off to Wise & his men. I understand your depression, but what movements (oo-er matron) have been going on in the prem??? Not that many so far, methinks. Give it time, Noelie, give it time. Aa knaa yer reet Snakehips but when yer as owld as aa am ye knaa yer not ower flush wi time left, ye wanna see summat happening before its ower late an ye gan fer a Burton. Fergie said he wasn't going to add to his sqad and on the 2nd of January he had two Serbs on board and as far as I know he has already added a third player.

  15. I'm really sick and fucking tired of Kinnear persevering with Ameobe To be fair, I've seen us play a lot worse than we did today but the problem lay in the fact that Liverpool are just simply so superior to us.
  16. If it was up to me I wouldn't start Duff, mind you he could prove to be a better fill in at left-back than Zoggy if his heart was in it. If it was up to me I would go against the Scousers with; ...................................Given ................Geremi - Taylor - Colo - Edgar. .................Jonas - Guthrie - Butt - Zoggy ..............................Owen - Carroll Pray tell me who plays regularly at Left-back and Right-back for the reserve team? I'm a little tired of hearing we don't have full-backs other than Beye and Enrique. Isn't the reserve team full of hopefuls trying to progress to the 1st team, and are we so shy of full-backs it was always central defenders Edgar and Huntington that were called on to play full-back.
  17. Erm, a defender FFS had just been sent off. What did you expect? I expect a reshuffle naturally, but I don't expect the strike-force to be reduced to one fringe player when you're behind 2-0, unless the idea is to maintain and defend a two-nowt loss.
  18. BASSONG. 1: Possibly an offside play. 2: Linesman nearly shaking his arm off for something. 3: Referee ignores his assistant and lets play go on. 4: Bassong fouls Heskey outside the box. 5: Referee lets play go on. 6: Bassong & Heskey tugging and pulling and shoving at each other. 7: Heskey goes down easily in the box. 8: Referee gives Bassong a red-card and awards a penalty. 9: Totally rubbish refereeing in this instance. KINNEAR. 1: We're behind two-nowt. 2: Takes Owen off. 3: Replaces him with Edgar, a defender FFS! 4: Thus leaving Carroll as the only forward. 5: We're still two-nowt down. 6: IS KINNEAR MAD. DUFF. 1: Duff by name, duff by performence. 2: He could have got us a draw.
  19. I think Kinnear favours Ameobe over Viduka and why I don't know. He used Viduka as a sub a couple of weeks ago but not last week when he used Ameobe. Viduka must be a lot fitter now than he was when Kinnear last used him.
  20. Brilliant result but in the first 2 minutes it began to look like we were headed for another defeat. They could have buried us in the first half then came out for the second half like we did last week, only difference being they weren't 2 nowt up. Enrique had had a shite first half but did a little better in the second. Guthrie had a good game, I was a little disappointed with Zoggy. Bassong gave another stoic defense. Why the fuck did he put Ameobe on instead of Viduka?
  21. Noelie

    Today's games

Wots maddening is that we are back in the bottom three and another draw won't get us out, it's a must win situation to climb back out and we're fucking useless when faced with that sort of challenge.
  22. Another nightmare game for Enrique and I once had high-hopes for him. Zoggy was disappointing, expected more from him. Bassong is looking better all the time. Until Kinnear gets his substitutions right he'll get no accolades from me. He should have taken Owen off not Martins if he was going to make any changes. Owen was pretty anonymous in the second half and Martins looked more of a threat. And why would he put in a less than fit Viduka when there is fully fit people on the bench. Decent result in getting a point but I thought we were lucky to get it, Boro looked the better of two teams lacking quality on the day.
  23. Don't think Martins & Owen were piss poor, the amount of service they got was piss poor. Seen Shearer have many a bad game due to lack of service. And in my opinion taking Martins off and replacing him with Ameobi was like Martins getting a red card and down to 10 men. Enrique wasn't much better than he was last week. Too many times when they broke down the right Enrique seemed to be playing as a central defender not a left-back. Nzogbia should have replaced Duff not Jonas. Again I question Kinnear's usefulness in making substitutions. I expected to lose to the league leaders, can't belive we didn't. GREAT result. Under siege for a good percentage of the match, hard to believe they didn't score. Liverpool did a historic Newcastle turn today, results went in their favour but they shot themselves in the foot. Bassong had a very good game, 100% better than last week. Beye was his normal good self, and Colocini was better than last week. While i agree with Z'zogbia replacing duff instead of gutierrez, thats about all i agree with. Owen and martins were gash today, especially owen who was quiet and done nothing, sat too deep and when we did break he was nowhere to be seen. Ameobi done ok when he came on but to say it was like we were down to 10 men is a bit rash, martins hadnt done nothing inparticular to note, and shola done nothing wrong. And as for your comment about bassong being 100% better than the last game? he was excellant against wigan too so idont see your point at all? Not making a point about Bassong, merely saying I thought he played 100% better than last week. If he made one tackle last week and two this week, that's 100% better isn't it?, so what's your point?. As for Owen sitting too deep, that's not surprising when the entire midfield are falling back to stiffen the defense against the Chelsea onslaught. I don't ask anyone to agree with my opinions, that's all they are, MY opinions based on how I see the game .

  25. What I want to see, ....and I haven't seen it in a long time, ....is all eleven players having a good game. Too many times one or two have a decent game, three or four border on mediocrity, and the rest are rubbish and belong on the tip. Eleven players playing up to their ability, C'MON UNITED
