Delighted with the 3 points, delighted we have won the championship, but depressed with the miserable showing we put on. Other than the 2 goals we were shite in the first half, couldn't string any passes together, bobbled the ball, and kept hoofing down the pitch to nobody. Weren't any better shite in the second half and 0 goals to show for it. No one impressed, had Harper not brought off some good saves we would have been in deep shit. Why Hughton would bring on non-scorer Best when he had goal-scorer Lovenkrands on the bench I will never know. Nevertheless we are the Champions.

Not sure I can entirely agree with that opinion, maybe because I'm old school, really old school, when every team played with two genuine wingers in the 2-3-5 formation, albeit they weren't always quality players on the wings.. Spot on IMO, first game I saw him play in I thought he was losing too many balls in his dribbles, and more often than not because he was playing the ball too far away from his feet making it easy for defenders to snuff him out. It's a bit early to judge but on his performence so far I lean towards Gillesbie being the better of the two.

Me eye cleared up enough to watch the replay on espn360 today and to be truthful I was a bit disappointed with our overall performence. I suppose I was expecting us to put on a stellar performence for 90 minutes but the first 45 left a lot to be desired. We are promoted and that's fantastic for doing it at the first go, but there shouldn't be any doubt in anyone's mind that we do not have a Premier League team in house. Unless there is a splurge for quality players in the summer we'll be in for a hard time in staying up. I trust Ashley fully recognizes this and moves to protect his investment, speculate to accumulate. Nolan's goal was a cracker.

To come from behind and win 3-2 against the bottom of the table club is not something that makes me jump for joy. Hughtons decision to start with 5 changes to a winning team made me cringe, and I cringed even more when they went ahead, To rest key players prior to a Monday's game may sound a reasonable decision but it is also a gamble and from the sound of the radio commentary it seemed like it might just be a bad bet. That was until Nolan scored on half-time. It should have been a convincing win but it wasn't .........still I'm more than happy with the 3 points.

Perhaps the use of the word 'dominate' is a little bit strong Andrew when you consider that we have drawn 3 at SJP, 2-2, 1-1, & 0-0. and 3 of our wins have been by a one goal margin, 1-0, 1-0, & 2-1. Hardly what you would call domination against 6 teams in this league.

His goals have been vital don't get me wrong, but his general play has been extremely poor. I'd have gone for Enrique, Coloccini or Harper all ahead of him. I have to agree with the goal issue, had he not scored as many goals I doubt he would have even been in contention for the award. Hiccups

According to Booby Moncur (at the game) it was the players that didnt turn up, in particular Jonas. Say what you will about Jonas but his needle-threading pass for Lovenitlad to score was worth his time on the field.

A good if un-deserved point and I'm happy with that. Boro had the beating of us for a lot of the game and looked far more dangerous in attack. I think we were very lucky to come away with a point. Pancrate was anonymous while he was on but at least it kept Guthrie in the middle where he belongs. Hall had a decent game but I wondered where Williamson was.
