  1. Don't know why 'arry seems to be in the pole position to replace Allardyce. Looking at his record as a manager doesn't conjure up any great joy. Matter of fact it would be had to determine if his record was much better than Sam's overall. At least 'arry doesn't chew like a cow.
  2. The truth as I see it is that Allardyce has proven, albeit in a short period of time, that he has failed to show he can bring a glimmer of hope to the club even after bringing in 9 new players and a large back-room staff to implement his scientific ideas, doctrines, and methods. Any new owner of a result oriented business would and should expect to see some movement towards improvement being initiated by a new experienced manager that was already in place, and that has not been forthcoming. In reality the opposite of expectations surfaced and the club began a backwards spiral which wouldn't be acceptable to a forward looking owner. It may have come as a surprise to Allardyce but I'm sure it was not a snap decision based on the last result but that may have tipped the scales in view of the schedule facing us. I have to believe that Ashley and Mort felt a change must be made in order to effect an upswing in fortunes and it showed no sense to delay it until we were in a deeper hole. I have to think they know what they are doing, it may be a mistake on their part but we'll just have to wait and see what the immediate future brings, and hopefully it will be a better manager.
  3. Sorry have to correct you there, who showed the FA Cup match the other day? Other than that, please continue. Fox Soccer Channel showed the Stoke match. ESPN California viewing is mostly Champions League games. FA Cup games have usually been on pay per view, occasionally on the Fox Soccer Channel & Setanta. Setanta and Fox Soccer show premier league games Saturday & Sundays, some live some tape-delayed. I have ESPN, Gol TV, Setanta, Fox Soccer Channel to view on my on my telly and between Setanta & Fox I have seen every Newcastle match this seasonnn with the exception of the Carling Cup loss to Arsenal which was not on anything here. Really? It was on ESPN - pacific rim here. So Noelie, who was the commentators? Did you get Shaka Hislop? Can't remember but it wasn't Shaka Hislop. Usually get the match commentators who are broadcasting to a UK audience.

  5. It should come as no surprise that I'm glad he's gone. I didn't think he had anywhere near an illustrious management record before he came. I didn't think he was a good choice. I didn't like his team selections. I didn't like him playing people out of position. I didn't like his substitutions and timing of them. I didn't like his apparent inability to motivate players. I didn't like the fact he signed Barton the Baggage-man. I didn't like the garbage he spouted to the press. I didn't like the way he sat in the stands with Mort until half-time. And I didn't like the gross way he consistantly chewed like a cow.
  6. Well I think you think rubbish when you don't consider Beye at right-back, he's one of our better performers. And Milner before Duff, yer joking right? Well i was talkin about during the ANC so beye would not be available, of course he is 1st choice right back! And for milner yeah i would have him in before duff, duff still gotta prove himself for me, though i do think he would do well cutting in from the right. Hoyman wot ye thinkin', Diarra's a midfield player not a right full-back

  8. Derby has signed him so we can be ever so thankful we don't have to play them again this season cos he might have scored against us and took all 6 points instead of the 4 they did.
  9. Happy Birthday lads. nobody wished Noelie happy birthday on his birthday:(
  10. Divvint think there's owt wrang with lasses from Mongolia
  11. After the tumult and shouting dies the captains and the kings depart. Well I wish Allardyce would depatrt. I'm sick of seeing him sitting expressionless in the stands chewing like a cow until halftime then coming down to the sideline for the second half to standi there waving his arms around like a traffic-cop and chewing like a cow. Enrique did OK at left-back and makes you wonder why ugly Sam hasn't been playing him. Zoggy did OK in the first half but became fairly annonymous in the second. Him and Enrique may play well together. Rozenhal at right-back seemed to be another clueless decision by Allardyce. Faye and Taylor defended well but maybe Taylor should have been at right-back and Cacapa in the middle with Faye. Duff did OK wide right but sometimes I think he held the ball too long and should have been more giving. Butt did OK butt his shots on goal, ...weel wor lass cudda done better. Smith was a bit of a non entity except for his eye-catching hairstyle and fouls. Owen & Viduka were somewhat OK but didn't get good service mostly due to Stoke's endeavour to snuff them out. Shudda won in the 1st. half. --------- Cudda lost in the 2nd. half. (mebbe that had summat to do with ugly Sam leaving the stands)
  12. IMO this would be an ideal match to start Enrique at left-back to show us what he has to offer against a team that will obviously be battling us to stay in the Cup. Question is; does Allardyce not want him to start in case he shows him up by proving he has always been ready and belongs in the starting line-up.
  13. Don't you mean sent down, or d'ye mean someone's carrying him?
  14. I've looked at the squad that was available at the start of the season, ...... I've looked at the players that Allardyce inherited, ................ I've also looked at the players Allardyce added to the squad, ....... and for the life of me I can't see how in the world of football we have had such abysmal results against teams at the bottom end of the table. And for "as bad as it is at the moment" it is indeed BAD, and I believe that rests entirely upon the head of Allardyce who doesn't appear to have a clue in getting the best out of his players, doesn't have a clue about where they are better suited, and doesn't have a clue in making the right selections or making the right substitutions at the right time. I didn't want him in the first place and I don't want him now. He's had plenty of time to sort things out regardless of what some people say. I think he's an arrogant egoist who incessantly chews like a cow. Do you detect some anger in me? well so you should. Whatever you may think about him, rightly or wrongly, the idea he's had plenty of time to sort things out is ridiculous. Not ridiculous at all Alex, case in point. From the day we lost away to Derby Allardyce had plenty of time to sort things out before they came to our patch and insure that we would get a win. Well he didn't and we didn't, and as Derby will probably go down he won't need time to correct that colossal boo-boo will he cos they won't be around next season. There is too much emphasis on giving him time, it is quite conceivable and realistic to expect to see a marked improvement from the get-go when you look at what players he had available from the beginning. There appeared to be an improvement at first and hopes were raised but then it went downhill fast and Allardyce seemed to be short on brake-fluid. Don't know how many points Derby have but I know they got 4 from us, 3 more than they got from anyone else.

  16. Me too, and I think we are inclined to forget the horrendous injury ratio Roeder had and had to resort to playing the likes of Huntingdon, Edgar, Pattison, Ramage, Taylor etc.etc.. Without the injuries Roeder may have done a much better job for us.
  17. Better performence overall - Same dismal result. You can't win if you can't score and there were enough chances and we should have been ahead at half-time. Questionable starting line-up again, insists on Zoggy at left-back then ugly Sam moves him forward in desperation.
  18. . .....................................Given .Beye..............Cacapa................Faye..............Enrique ....Duff..............Butt..............Emre................N'Zogbia ...........................Martins............Owen In the past Duff has shown he can play on the right and he is pacier than Milner. I prefer Martins over Viduka because he too is pacier and I think we need that in the front line.
  19. Newcastle supporter Noelie feels he has been let down by Sam Allardyce.
  20. Don't think so, I saw conclusive evidence that Zoggy should not be playing left-back. He was causing all kinds of problems for Chelsea'when he was leaving his position and running at them and he needs to be in a position where he can do that all the time and not leave us exposed at the full-back position. There second goal was obviouly offside and we deserved a point at the very least.
  21. Might be a bit o' truth in that. Maybe if Sam hadn't dropped him for the Wigan match he might not have been in Liverpool pissed off at the world. Think about it, if Sam hadn't dropped him he might have stayed in Newcastle and maybe had a jovial punch-up in the Bigg Market.
  22. Didn't Carter get bumped off in the end? might just happen to Sam.
  23. Let's get real and look at the facts. GEREMI: He had seen him as a Boro & Chelsea player and must have thought he would fit in his plans. FAYE: He had him as a player at Bolton and must have thought he would fit in his plans. SMITH: He had seen him as a player for Leeds & Man United and must have thought he would fit in his plans. BARTON: He had seen him as a player for Man City and must have thought he would fit in his plans. VIDUKA: He had seen him as a player for Leeds & Boro and must have thought he would fit in his plans. BEYE, CACAPA, ROZENHAL, ENRIQUE: Don't know if he ever saw them play but he must have thought they would fit into his plans. N'ZOGBIA: Must think he'd be better at left-back than wide left to fit his plans. MILNER: Must think he'd be better on the left than on the right to fit his plans. EMRE: Must think he's not good enough for the starting line-up to fit his plans. TAYLOR: Must think he's only good enough when he thinks Cacapa & Rozy aren't fitting his plans. MARTINS: Hard to know if he thinks Oba fits his plans as a striker so he plays him on the right. ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT HE'S THINKING AND WHAT HIS PLANS ARE?
  24. Far from the truth Mr. Fish!! When huge businesses have already suffered bad years they bring in an experienced new manager whom they believe will turn things around and DO NOT EXPECT another bad year. They expect to see a progressive improvement in the right direction due to the new man's expertise.
