To replace Owen and Martins.

Last window they put all of the players up for sale with a few days to go of the window. At least that hasn't happened this time, no, hes put them all up* with three weeks left, plenty time to get the auctions going methinks. *according to a reliable source, there are no untouchable players at this club. Now then, what odds was relegation again?

A week without posting in defence of our management structure? Or is he working copious amounts of overtime to get ready for his gambling debts?

I dont want to burst your bubble but you need wins not draws to progress That extra game has already become two extra in the fact we have a replay this week, a replay that now means instead of having 7 days rest before playing one of our relegation rivals we only have 3. The next round then comes the week after the Blackburn game with the Man City game 4 days later. If we happen to draw the 4th round then the replay will be sandwiched between the makems and West Brom games with the 5th round the weekend after WBA (what would have been another welcome weekend off) so its way worse than one every 4-6 weeks. If we're playing these games and then taking on other relegation strugglers who have had the time off then we're at a disadvantage. -
Our goal difference has us 11th, and we're only 5 points from bottom. But it's not just scraping through this season we have to worry about, it's having a Championship quality squad next season. We're 5 points off 8th too, doesn't mean we're good enough for 8th. The fact we havent been 8th this season proves that, its literally a few weeks though since we were in the bottom 3. We've been 4th Graph point taken , so we've spent 9.52% of the season in the top 10 and 28.57% in the relegation places with the remaining 61% in the bottom half.

What Im saying is that we have to get our priorities right, we have a piss weak squad crippled by injury, we cannot afford any more. We have zero chance of winning the FA Cup this year therefore let that go to keep us more focussed on the league. You work in the NHS, I know its not A&E but you'll understand the analogy. You have one doctor and two patients, an assessment on both shows that one has zero chance of survival while the other is 50/50 you make the one with zero chance comfortable and devote the doctors time to the one with the chance. Terrible analogy I know but its true, we couldnt win the toss these days so an FA cup is just a pipe dream therefore we dont need the distraction and additional games that will bring. -

And if Owen gets crocked? Jonas catches flu through a cold January night game? one of Andy C's hair braids falls out? Is that worth us getting to the 5th round to then be humiliated by whoever? -
Unhappy Spurs star Bent targets Newcastle or Everton move

I can see Spurs offering him to us in exchange for Owen tbh. We were talking about this in the pub yesterday. I think Harry would be up for it and in the longer term would be a great deal for us... Importantly though, I cant imagine Owen being up for it. -
I cant imagine its the wireless adaptor because, like you say you're getting a Local connection. Could it be a problem with IP conflicts? Im having something similar on O2 at the minute. Theres 3 PCs connected ethernet and 2 wireless, the connection keeps dropping and reconnecting intermittently but sometimes it wont reconnect one of the machines because its tried to assign the same IP as another one. Anyone know if its simply a case of assigning static IPs to the machines to stop this happening?

I too am having a problem with an external HD, looks like Im going to have to do the same

I know exactly where Ants coming from and agree but at the same time, if we get to the Semi's then Id want us to win it. It would however leave a sour taste in the mouth that through sheer luck we fluked it and Ashley, Wise n Kinnear did something the likes of KK and Robson with Shepherd and all those before didnt. Plus the mongs would never shut the fuck up. -

I believe you're right and I guess its the "not spend" route but maybe, just maybe theres the glimmer that they'll get a kick up the arse and reality will hit home before its too late. -
Before you read this, you have to remember I dont WANT us to lose the next league game, its not in the nature, not part of our setup as fans but if we do then heres why I wont be too upset. We now have 22 days left of the transfer window and are sitting in what (when you say it without looking at the table) appears to be a healthy enough 11th place in the league. To the uninitiated, the niaive and frankly the stupid it looks ok. Ashley and Lambriani are all of the above. Breaking the next two games down we have a cup replay that we can ill afford to be playing, a replay against a team of sloggers who are having the kind of season they could only have dreamt of beforehand. Any honest Hull fan would have expected their team to be rock bottom now not 8th, they will be up for it having already taken 3 points off us so far. There is no way on this earth that we can win the FA cup this year, no chance at all. Any further progression therefore is both a distraction and additional chances to injure an already decimated squad. Put out the kids by all means and let them get a feel for the big stage but dont risk Premiership survival chasing an already lost dream. Next Saturday then we have Blackburn away, what on paper is another "must win" game, for me its not, this is where we speculate to accumulate. Ashley needs a kick up the arse and us sitting in the top half of the table will not do that. If on paper we look good then I dont think we have any chance of him investing. Have us down the bottom and maybe, just maybe he'll get the wake up call we need. This time next week we could be 2 points off bottom but with 15 days left to rescue it, get three points next week and then beat off Man City and the Makems and we could be in that very same position with no time to react.

I heard Milburn was partial to a bit gangsta rap once in a while.

Aye, 4 of the 9 below have a game in hand, one of those has a way way better goal difference (and lets face it, in a few weeks will be safe). If we lose next Saturday then no matter what either Spurs or Portsmouth will definitely go above us, Middlesbrough and Man City both have a good chance of also jumping us. That would put us down to 14th, if the makems pull off a draw at home to Villa then its 15th (and bottom North East team). If however WBA beat Boro and Spurs beat Portsmouth (and we still lose) then we could still be 12th (depending on other games going our way) but only 2 points off bottom!!!!! pessimistic bastard that I am but after that display today (and many more before it) I wonder how we're not sitting shitting bricks with the weight of the Premier League stacked above us.

Unhappy Spurs star Bent targets Newcastle or Everton move
peasepud replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
Exactly, you've got to worry about the mental health of anyone who would come out and say they want to play for us currently. -
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/...ester-City.html This raises two questions for me, firstly why wait? if City are the richest club in the world and want him then why take the chance on not buying him now? Secondly and more worryingly what happens when a ) we play City and b ) if it gets to the end of the season and what we do affects them, how would he react? worst case scenario, last game of season win we stay up and relegate City, lose or draw and we go down instead. Would you play him? Can anyone guarantee that he will be professional? Im not calling his reputation here but just how professional are people when their future career is on the line?

Can we afford him? No. Does he currently play for Rangers? No. Will we sign him? No. To be fair, its a bit like N'Zog saying he wants to go to Arsenal, it wont happen but for different reasons, they dont want Zog, we cant afford and wont buy Bent. -
Looks like Charlie must be away then. Another few million in the bank and a shite replacement to compete with Duff for nowt......whoopee Let the good times roll my friend, let them roll
