  1. very true mags, im glad to see you remember the lingo We're full of grockles and old folk. Great football team though Steve, just a general reply for you. Torquay isnt as pleasant as it once was (sigh) (mainly due to scousers and 'others' invading the place) we also have quite a drug problem here for such a small seaside resort but if you like beaches and stunning coastal scenery you might just like it here. The towncentre itself is ok, very near to the hospital and has lots of eating places and pubs. If you're into clubbing, theres not a great deal of night life as such, most clubs being around the harbourside, which i avoid fri and sat nights as its full of drunken kids! Depends what you like really, this is my favourite time of year down here, almost all the grockles have pissed off home, kids back at school and its fairly peaceful. (some might say dead) On the plus side, we are very near to some beautiful beaches and lovely places ti visit if you can whilst you're here, like Dartmouth, Salcombe, Dartmoor etc. So if you like walking, cycling, sailing, fishing and general outdoor pursuits you're in! On the minus side, you may get bored and find not enough to do, depends what you like. Property to rent is expensive and not plentiful, does your job come with accomodation? Just wondered, as there is a new apartment block very close to the hosp which i think is chiefly for Torbay hosp staff and looks ok. There are of course one or two areas to avoid living in but all towns have those! Public transport isnt great and cost of living is high here. But if its only a month that shouldnt affect you. I'd say give it a go, we even have a football team, so thats your saturday afternoons sorted! Any questions i'd be happy to help. webcam of seafront road between Paignton and Torquay http://www.torquaywebcam.com/ And Torquay harbour http://www.bbc.co.uk/devon/webcams/torquay_webcam.shtml

  15. Keep up the good work Bobby, this chat section was like a morgue at times, least you give us plenty to discuss if we so wish
  16. You would have identified with one of them. he has 4 TVs in his room. One for sky, one for terrestrial, one for his PS2, and another for DVD. Presumably he likes to do all four at once, rather than using scart leads. thats mad = 4 tvs in one room? Crazy Parents should be sterilised before they can ruin any other children. People who want to have children should be vetted on their suitability in the same way that people are assessed who want to adopt or foster chuldren imo. Yes i know that probably is a shocking thought i have, but i see so many scum having kids who grow up to be just like their parents that it sickens me
  17. It's bad enough your house is talking to you, but if it's trying to convince you to do stuff you want to put it on the market and go for a holiday. Knew it was spelt wrong but I honestly couldn't be bothered to correct it because I'm......busy looking for a new house at this very moment An old brothel (ex-whore's house)? thanks very much

  19. THIS is more like a young Michael Schumacher (AKA Alex Winter from the Bill & Ted films)... God yes wel spotted! but he also looks similar to matt so i rest my case!
  20. Oiii stop taking the pee and using my words More or les answered this on the best things thread, but here goes Grockles and seagulls old folk! Over-crowding. Exhortionate house, water and council tax charges. Local transport is pretty poor, taxis cost a fortune.
  21. I use Tiscali too, used to pay £15.99 a month for 1mb connection (unlimited) Like Cath i had a recent call and now i have all my landline calls with them too (which are cheaper than BT) Now i pay £14.99 a month for a 2mb connection (unlimited again) I find them a really good ISP, never had a problem with them or their customer service.
  22. More like a young michael Schumacher Or a young Sean Penn.
