  1. Thinking of you. Re the carpal tunnel, I got zapped all over yesterday to test for it and as I don't have it, it now looks like my problems may be originating in my shoulder. Wouldn't like the sound of those injections if it had been CT! Thanks Hope you get your shoulder problems sorted out too. An update on the injection....DONT EVER have one!! There was me asking the doc if he was injecting both my wrists, as I have trouble with both. He said no, I'm not that cruel NOW I know what he meant!! He just did my left wrist (I'm left handed and thats my worst one with pins and needles all the time) The injection itself was painful but not as bad as I thought it would be, but now I am honestly in agony. Today is even worse than yesterday. I can barely move it, its stuck in a weird claw like grip. I could play a very convincing role in a horror movie Dr said my symptoms would be worse for a few days before they hopefully got better, but my god I never had pain before, now If I try to move my fingers I could cry. I hope its all worth it. I am not having the other wrist done, no way. I have an appt with the consultant anyway in early March as my Dr rekons surgery would be best for me, which I hope they will do. Happy bloody New Year! (took me ages to type this with right hand) Good to see you havent lost your sense of humor or the fail to not make me laugh with your smillies TR Thank you, you have to love the smilies.
  2. Nothing to do with the cold snap at all. This happens quite often regardless of the weather. If you get there after 8, no veg, bread, potatoes, eggs etc....I will make sure not to go so late again. It saves throwing more stuff away. I doubt that's it like. It's not as though the stuff mentioned would go off overnight. Probably just the shop being tight / not employing enough staff. Most people from Devon turn into a pumpkin if they're not home by 8 anyway. Hey Thats no way to speak to your relation!

  5. Im not keen on Asda. I normally shop in Sainsburys, but lately I'm getting fed up of it. I went last night about 8pm, its open untill 11pm, but may aswell have been shut as there was nothing much left Why stay open if they cant keep the shelves stocked? No bread, potatoes, eggs, stewing steak and so on. I was particulary annoyed because they had run out of Covent garden chicken, lemon and tarragon soup which I had fancied for my supper!
  6. Congratulations to you and Mrs PP. He's a cutie! xx
  7. Hello again. Thanks so very much for all your messages, I'm really truely touched. I honestly didnt mention my troubles for sympathy or attention though, I just came on and saw the Dead pool thread and rather flippantly wrote a remark. I do have a habit of writing exactly what comes into my head! I sort of said it out loud! I found the lump a few days before Xmas and went docs Xmas eve, he felt it was probably a cyst and as my period was nearly due I had to go away and see if it went after that event! Well, the period came and went and still I have the lump and considerable breast pain. I (and my family) have been worried so I couldnt quite wait the 2 weeks the doc suggested so I went back on Monday. He instantly referred me as urgent to the local Breast care unit and I have an appointment on Tuesday morning. Needless to say I'm sick with worry but trying to keep calm and remind myself sensibly there are so many things this could be. To take my mind of this I have been to my Dr for a 'stabbing' today! I had a cortisone injection in my wrist (because of carpal tunnel in both wrists) OUCH!!! I have never been to the Doctors so much in my life! I am indeed feeling very miserable and sorry for myself! But on the bright side I have the rest of the week off work and woke up to a beautiful white world today! Thanks again, you are all very sweet xx
  8. Probably me I've a lump in my breast that isnt going, so back again to the docs on Monday where tests will commence Christmas and New Year thoroughly ruined. Barring me, Im going for Bernie Ecclestone. Unfortunately I was right with Sir Bobby last year
  9. I kinda have a feeling he shouldnt tempt fate. He 'got away' without really serious injury for all those years, why come back?
  10. Happy Christmas to you all, love from me in sunny Torquay xxxx
  11. I made a Bread and Butter pudding made with Pannatone raisin bread the other day, delicious! I add alittle cream AND evaporated milk too.....piggy-tastic! Christmas day I will be cooking beef with red wine and redcurrant jelly gravy with roast honey and mustard parsnips, mashed swede and carrots, savoy cabbage, pigs in blankets and yorkshires oh and of course roast potatoes.....yum!! We have xmas pudding, bot normally have a light dessert like mandarins in vodka/orange jelly with meringue and clotted cream! Oh good. I've never tried it before and tbh the pud is Mrs Paws idea. I'd planned on using cream but wouldn't have thought of the evaporated milk. Might see if I can get some this afternoon. Cheers for the tip Your mustard parsnips sound canny too. Might have to try that one out too Yes the parsnips are gorgeous with olive oil, honey, mustard and alittle black pepper rubbed into them.

  20. aw Cath, sorry to hear that. My brothers dog (a daft lovable old springer) is getting near the end, she cant walk very well and sometimes cant drag herself up from the floor at all, its heartbreaking. Theyre hanging on to her but really I think the time has come. My niece is a vetinary nurse so she will take her and I think it will be soon I dont have any pets except the neighbours gorgeous old tabby, I share him and we look after him when theyre away, he comes in most days. He's 16 now, so I guess thats old in cat years? I will be gutted when he goes.
