1. Chopra and Parker both score, 2-0. Parker never knew what happened, the ball hit him and flew past the keeper.
2. I can see Chopra getting a goal, should be his level...and Shola's. The fact that he starts ahead of N'Zogbia or Luque despite not being fit says all about the ability of our manager.
3. My routine keeps changing all the time, depending on whether I go to Uni, work full-time, part-time or do nothing at all. At the moment it's: 6:00 - First alarm 6:15 - Second alarm 6:30 - Third alarm, get up 6:35 - Brush teeth, shave, shower 7:00 - Have a bowl of müesli, read newspaper 7:20 - Get train to Zürich, read newspaper and fall asleep on the train 8:20 - Arrive in Zürich and walk to Uni 8:30 - Arrive at Uni, get cup of coffee, try to pay attention.
4. Sounds like something we would do! Strange move.
5. Personally, I would never holiday in Dubai. Whatever happened to soft tourism? Everything about that place is fake and it's an environmental crime.
6. 84730 I can just imagine you doing that, you pompous tart. 84734 To be fair, all Germans are obsessed with academic titles. Speaking of misconceptions, cuckoo clocks are German, not Swiss. I find myself explaining this to my relatives in England all the time! And the most absurd question I've been asked was whether it was true that we're not allowed to flush our toilets and shower from 9pm to 7am.
7. What I've always found confusing is that Sven possesses the charming looks of Mr Burns after a genetic experiment, but still he seems to be quite popular with the female sex. Didn't he run away with the Lazio chairman's wife after he resigned as manager?
8. What reason would Robson have for disagreeing with you in his own autobiography? 83823 That was my question too 83824 Oops Anyway, I knew it before his autobiography was out.
9. So, da word on the street is Luque isn't Souness's fault after all. Interesting. Opinion of course, but interesting all the same. 83816 I wouldn't be surprised if it's true, seeing as the deals involving Kluivert, Butt, Milner and Speed to Bolton were all done over Bobby's head. I know this for a FACT by the way.
10. Not surprising coming from the man who said that "Newcastle's stunning transformation is a huge credit to manager Graeme Souness - and perhaps it is time for some of his critics to eat humble pie." (Souness critics must eat humble pie). Stunning transformation indeed!
11. A couple of weeks ago I said that I was feeling sorry for Souness because I thought it was his pride and genuine desire to turn it around which prevented him from resigning. I take that back now, even he must know there is no way he can turn it around and his comments about his family being the most important thing suggest it is greed that motivates him after all. If people start to really hate Souness not just as a manager, but as a person, he only has himself to blame. NB. This doesn't excuse the Fat Pig from being the one responsible for the mess we're in.
12. Bit melodramatic in that last paragraph. I don't think he's just holding out for the money, I think he genuinely believes he can get us playing better. You saw for yourself in his MOTD interview - "I believe I am getting the absolute best out of the players that I have available to me". As for ill-gotten gains, thanks to Shepherd it's money that he's contractually entitled to. 83708 That statement really pissed me off. He also said that no other manager could get more from the players available to him, which is a blatant lie.
13. That's the same pocket that we buy players with though.... I want him gone now too, but it's not like Shepherd is being tight with his OWN money, it's the club's. 83524 Simple solution: by way of acknowledging that him and Hall made a mistake in appointing Souness, they declare no dividend this year and use the money they would otherwise pay to themselves (and the other shareholders, but let's face it, most of them are fans and would forego the £1 or £2 they pick up to get rid of Souness) to get rid of the manager. In the past two years the dividend has been in the region of £5m...the same as the payoff that would supposedly be required to get rid of Souness and his team of coaches. Not gonna happen unfortunately, but it would go some way towards improving Shepherd's relationship with the fans if he had the brains and was prepared to admit to his error. 83703 Good idea! Never going to happen though.
14. I'm gutted after reading today's papers. I really thought he would be sacked yesterday. I can't see him being sacked before Saturday now.
15. Saunders: Souness is staying Newcastle assistant boss Dean Saunders insists manager Graeme Souness has not even thought about leaving the club. The Guardian newspaper claims Souness and his coaching team will be fired by chairman Freddy Shepherd on Monday. But Saunders told BBC Sport: "The papers have been saying Graeme's on his way for the last three weeks. We'll just keep going on as normal. "He's at the training ground now and it's business as usual. We're busy preparing for our next game." BBC Sport
16. I don't want him! I'd rather Fat Fred took charge of first-team affairs himself, the thought of him in a tracksuit would be worth it. Seriously though, I think I prefer pretty much anyone ahead of Souness right now, but I definitely wouldn't want Venables. His track record makes Souness look like Hitzfeld, he's a failure and he's still living off a few good games at Euro 96.
17. Fuck's sake, what more will it take? What a joke.
18. Is Jimbo online? Hope he has his mobile phone ready if he's watching Sky.
19. You've hit rock bottom. Things will get better for you from now on. 83279 I know! God I must be sad.
20. I'm actually looking forward to reading the Chronicle, hopefully Fat Fred's lapdog can give us a bit of good news.
