There are probably about 200 better beers tbh... I like them. What do you reckon are better? I especially suggest Augustiner (though, that's even in Germany difficult to get outside of Munich), Andechser, Jever, Tannenzäpfle, Hasseröder, from the biger ones even Becks and Krombacher and a lot from smaller breweries. Tannenzäpfle is one of my favourite beers. I can even get it at my local supermarket. Superb.

Unless he pulls off a masterstroke on deadline day, which I doubt, Roeder has shown himself to be utterly incompetent when it comes to transfer dealings. Even if Shepherd told him there would be no money to spend in January, Roeder has had enough time to identify a couple of cheap loan signings that he could have brought in earlier. And the most annoying thing about his ineptness is the stuff he comes out with in the papers on a daily basis.

Given injured, Harper not good enough, Krul too young? Given is only out for a month and is not usually injury-prone. Harper is a decent back-up keeper and Roeder seems to rate him highly, and Krul has bags of potential...I don't really see the need for another keeper, unless Given will be sold.

The rivalry is good for tennis, but I will love it if Federer beats Nadal every single time they meet this year.

There are several reasons - for a start I prefer watching players whose game is about more than just power and athleticism. And most of all, I can't stand his attitude, the stupid mind games, the shouting and pumping his fist after every single point - he's decidedly second to Federer not just in terms of technical ability, but also in his attitude.

Shame about that, as far as I'm concerned, Nadal is to tennis what Spurs are to football. Now that may be a stupid analogy, but I just can't stand him at all.

I think FCUM makes some good points. I don't like the window and would love to see it scrapped.

As has been mentioned in this thread, young British players are so ridiculously overpriced, it's becoming a farce.

Babayaro is the only left-back at the club; i wouldn't want anybody to take him off our hands. Not in this transfer window, obviously, since we don't look like we're even trying to sign a replacement. Ideally, he will be replaced in the summer though.

Who will take Babayaro off our hands though?

Can't take him seriously though - Souness critics made to eat humble pie etc. He must be loving it right now.
