  1. Cologne just sacked their manager and open talks with Daum have already taken place. Daum just wants to think about it as he is still on rehabilitation after an op (which was the reason why he stepped down at Fehnerbahce). Foresight rulez. We should get Latour in tbh. He can bring his Swiss foreign legion.
  2. Great news. Rumsfeld epitomises everything bad about the current US administration.
  3. My girlfriend of four years split up with me yesterday. Needless to say my day is fucking shit.
  4. The interview with Shepherd on the same site makes me cringe. "What I'll say is, I'll never criticise Newcastle's supporters." (no, you stick to ridiculing them) "It's a blip." "We couldn't change the game to Sunday because it was all agreed before then." "I'm a Geordie, I'm from Newcastle, I've lived here and the I'm sure the Geordies will get behind us."
  5. A director of football is a must, but I honestly don't know if it will help us stay up this season. It should have been done years ago. The biggest problem now is that not only do our poor performances put us in an extremely dangerous situation on the pitch; I also imagine that potential investors will wait to see what happens (i.e. if we stay up) before deciding on a take-over.

Sums up how I feel this morning!
  7. Translation: My old mate Graeme tried to implement that and failed completely, but that won't stop me from trying to get the excuses in for him.
  8. Fucking Spurs finding their form again is making our plight even worse for me.
  9. Jesus fucking wept indeed if that's true. What a shambles.
  10. Leazes is going to love this.
  11. Actually you should only live off the interest of the interest of the interest, and that's less than a quarter that a lowly NHS worker like me makes. Definititely a mugs game. No doubt be won by an AUSTRIAN too.
  12. <Insert joke about pissing on someone's bonfire>

Adolf Hitler for one reason. And giving me defective skis that led to me breaking my leg is another. Plus Austrian food is absolutely fucking rank. It should be officially illegal for Britons (and I'm including myself here) to negatively comment on any other nation's food culture. Talk about people in glass houses! Exceptions can be made for Portuguese food.
  14. If we need cash in January (which I presume we do), I'd sell Emre. We'll get a fair bit of money for him if a Continental club comes in for him. Having said that, our squad is so ridiculously small, it will be madness to sell anyone unless we really need the money.
  15. If I remember correctly, the colour of your piss is an indicator for your general body hydration. If your piss watery and clear, your body is well hydrated and your kidneys are working fine. If your piss is yellowy-brown, you probably haven't drunk enough non-alcoholic fluids.
  16. Great result tonight. Seeing Milner actually come up with an end-product made for a nice change.
  17. One of my favourites: Mr Hilter in England:

  19. I agree that the Sheffield match is infinitely more imporant and we should be resting as many players as possible for tomorrow's match. Having said that, it really is a sad state of affairs that we're going to one of Serie A's top teams with a bunch of reserves and kids. Especially when you think that Roeder got the job precisely because he managed to get us back into Europe.

Oh, and Viennese coffee really is superb.

The question I want answered is this: has it been 'spotted' by all these tossers who fly over europe going on stag/hen do's like Prague and Budapest?? If not, then I would love to go following your comments on architecture and restaurants (culture vulture). Oh, and nice one David Kelly I know what you mean, but I've been to Prague and Budapest and I liked Vienna a lot more. Definitely worth a visit if you're into history and architecture. There are also a few fantastic art galleries, both modern and classic art.
