  2. If the team who turned up at Bolton decide to make an appearance again we have no chance...
  3. Leaving work for me doesn't mean much, I end up taking it home with me. Have worked at home every night this week...
  4. Same old, same old.. We up our game against the better teams yet play shit when it matters against the side we should def be taking the points off. Its the mentality small clubs usually take but we have been doing it for years now.
  5. S-O, They are playing the City Hall on 9th June...
  6. Does he fancy playing the Fizzy Pop league?
  7. Hes not biased he just thinks/knows we are shite. Truth hurts and and all that...
  8. What part of that is untrue ? we are a joke. I like Burley. He says what he thinks. We are shit. FACT. And he says that. I have no problem with honesty. You would never have guessed he was an ex Celtic player the way he wanted to slag off Lovenkrands at any opportunity.
  9. I would love to have Parkys confidence but given the fact that even when we had some of our better players fit we were still piss poor I don't see them making the difference we need...
  10. The long-term future of Hull City's Brazilian forward, Geovanni, has been plunged into doubt after he was the subject of an extraordinary attack by manager Phil Brown following his public display of insubordination. The former Barcelona and Manchester City player incurred Brown's wrath after responding to his 53rd-minute substitution with a show of head-shaking petulance as he left the field before kicking a water bottle in the dugout A chorus of boos rang around the KC Stadium aimed at Brown who later put the club's most high-profile player firmly in his place in an astonishing blast. "He will never do that to me again," Brown said. "I'm the manager. I haven't spoken to him yet. He's getting drugs-tested so hopefully they will find that positive." "Geovanni is not bigger than this football club - it's as simple as that. I don't think he was having a positive impact on the game." Brown insisted Geovanni, who was replaced by Nick Barmby, still had a role to play in halting Hull's freefall. "I'm there to make big decisions and if the fans don't like it then they don't like it there is nothing I can do about that," Brown added. "Nicky Barmby was our match-winner last Thursday against Sheffield United and it was a chance of him to play in a similar position and as I saw it he had a positive impact." Hull have now won just one Premier League game in their last 18 attempts. "This is the biggest test in my career as a manager and it probably is for the rest of the players," Brown said. "We have to play above ourselves in the last 11 games." Rovers took the lead when Warnock thumped in a loose ball after City keeper Matt Duke had spilled a spinning ball under pressure from Roque Santa Cruz who teed up the midfielder in the 35th minute. The advantage was doubled within a minute as Brown's defence froze allowing Morten Gamst Pedersen to find Warnock whose low cross was knocked in from close range by former Hull midfielder Keith Andrews. Brown's woes deepened in the 63rd minute when Dean Marney was dismissed by Martin Atkinson for retaliating to Pedersen's clumsy aerial challenge by kicking the prostrate Norwegian right where it hurts. "I'm disappointed in Dean but it was uncharacteristic," Brown added." It just shows how much pressure these players are under. He's in tears in the changing rooms but that counts for nothing. He got his comeuppance." Hull were invigorated when Pedersen - booked for his challenge on Marney- was sent off after being cautioned for a clumsy foul on Kamil Zayatte in the 70th minute. But a late siege yielded just Ian Ashbee's 79th minute goal when he thumped in a Bernard Mendy cross beyond substitute goalkeeper Jason Brown - a half-time replacement for the injured Paul Robinson - from 12 yards out to set up a frantic finale. Rovers manager Sam Allardyce: "It wasn't about how we played it was about how we had to dig this one out. We had to hang on for the last ten minutes but we defended tremendously. We got what we deserved. This was my first win away from home so we've laid a bogey to rest."
  11. Would walk into the team ahead of Shola, Carroll or Smith....
  12. Good stuff dude will throw some money your way and hopefully if my I can get my kneecaps back in place I will be joining you on the GNR... You could always get a charity place if you reckon enough people will sponsor you as they look from around £300 to £500 depending on the charity...
  13. When you heading up to Loch Lomond
  14. The two of them come no where near the quality Solano brought to the team btw...
  15. Would rather have both, Milner on the right and Jonas on the left. Was never Milners biggest fan but he would walk into our current midfield.
  16. They have not said they are basing their future solely on kids. I am sure they will keep hunting out the bassongs, nolans and loaners to help us move forward. Why do some find it so hard to see the full picture. The full picture? You mean 15th in the league and 5 points above the relegation zone with a nightmare run in? A has-been or never-was been manager who is too ill to work, and Dennis fucking runt Wise as executive scout? £10 million cap on new players and the exodus of the few decent players we have? Once more a selling club with no ambition and shit PR? Fan morale at rock bottom and collapsing season ticket sales? Is that full enough of a picture for you? Not that I believe it, but depending where you read the comments the figures that have been banded about, which now go anywhere from 5-20 million, Ashleys saying he will plough in on top of any revenue the club is turning over. As I say I expect it to be bullshit but if we were in a position of the club financially running itself and every year Ashley giving us 10-15 million "play money" on top of any transfer budgets it would actually be quite a good deal IMO, only problem is that its constantly bullshit we are being fed and this is probably more bollocks.
  17. NEWCASTLE United managing director Derek Llambias has revealed the Magpies are expanding their global scouting network. Llambias told the Chronicle on February 12 that youth development is high on Mike Ashley’s wish-list at Newcastle and that United were aiming to compete with the cream of Europe when it comes to bringing the world’s top youngsters to St James’s Park. Llambias was in the firing line at a supporters panel meeting last night at Gallowgate and spent almost three hours answering fans’ questions over concerns about the future of the club. He said: “We have scouts everywhere already. “But we’re expanding, we have to expand our web out there. “We’re looking at players in Brazil. We have recently improved links in Ireland and Scandinavia.” Newcastle are looking to bring on starlets like 16-year-old Slovenian Haris Vuckic, Aussie Brad Inman and Brazilian Caio Ferreira while also making sure they get the best out of their regional catchment area. Llambias said: “We have plans for the club and we are taking them forward. “We have a grid that is made up by the manager and it highlights the areas we need to strengthen. “We pinpoint a player and then we go out and look at him.” Fans were told the club have a plan in place if they are relegated to the Championship but Llambias feels it won’t be needed and was confident of survival. The managing director also revealed that should Michael Owen leave the club in the summer the would find an adequate replacement. Owen is out of contract in July and asked for time to think about his future after United offered him an improved deal in December. That deal was withdrawn on January 1, with Llambias confirming earlier this month that a new deal would be offered to the injured England international. Other items from the meeting to emerge were that the club hope to come to a conclusion over the transfer fee of ex-Real Mallorca winger Jonas Gutierrez this week and that Kinnear will be backed upon his return to the St James’s hotseat. United’s director of football Dennis Wise was at Craven Cottage watching Fulham’s 2-1 win over Swansea in the FA Cup fifth-round replay last night.
  18. Bennie for Madrid and Ramos and Poyet in here then
  19. The thing is a lot of managers do that sort of thing.... once (although they'd been doing ok just prior to him taking control). Ferguson anywhere but Man U might have been a very good manager, but he wouldn't have won as much as he has. Although even at Man U he had the benefits of spending quite a bit from the off, the club punching below its weight and long term backing for finishes that would have got many manager sacked (I'll be surprised if any other Man U manager gets 4 seasons of backing like Fergy did for similar results, ever again). I wouldn't disagree. He's totally earned any plaudits he's gained at Man Utd though. He may have gained from certain circumstances etc. But name me one successful person on anything like his scale you couldn't say the same about? Everyone needs a bit of luck / being in the right place at the right time. So true. If Robson hadn't signed/got lucky with Bellamy and Robert would we hold him in such high regard? Those two signings changed our whole team and Bellamy was 3rd choice behind Bridges and Jeffers. Not sure Robert was even our first choice target either tbh
  20. To be honest I don't think its so much pro NUSC over here, in fact I have not seen that many people support or claim to be member. I do think though we are more critical of the shambles that is going on at the club...
  21. Its what they are communicating (especially Llambias given the whispers about that meeting) that is even more worrying...
  22. Totally Does it matter who spent what? As it will either be a level playing field, or an unlevel playing field and so on... Or you may just go in to full wum mode and just got off on another tangent... You could have said you didn't know instead of just backing a member of your clique Same old, same old... Heaven forbid two people (actually most of who have posted in this forum) disagree with you. You were actually doing a half decent job of wumming until you spat the dummy...
