Always had a feeling he had more than he showed us, but was watching some snips from the end of last season, and thought of him playing against the mackems last week, scoring for the under 21's too. Balls eh, another fuckup maybe.

anyone think we may have dropped a bollock letting him go

Thing is, I have been saying for a while that players won't come to Newcastle because of Souness. But I have just finished reading Bobby's autobiography, and I am really concerned managers won't come to Newcastle because of Shepherd. Shepherd comes across as being a complete arsehole in that book. I know Robson has an axe to grind, but I think we all know what Shepherd is like from the media, straight from the horse's mouth, if you like. So the real concern is when (not if) Souness goes, who will put up with the fat, incompetent, meddlesome cnut as their boss? Not the best managers, I'm sure. And everyone will know what he's like form Robson's autobiography and, of course, from the man himself. All I can say is we'd better hope, even pray, Shearer can make the transition, otherwise we are finished. We have been going downhill for 2 years now, when are we going to hit the bottom? Not for a while yet, I fear. 15149 Fair point. Thing is, other clubs have shite chairman too. Would you prefer Bob Murray, Doug Ellis to name 2..and there are lots of others I don't want to make a long list ... how many managers would play for those ? They still do though. In spite of Shepherd, managers will take the job knowing they will have us the fans, and huge financial backing from Shepherd. Now thats a fact, because they all have had that. Off the top of my head, in spite of Shepherds faults, which mainly revolve around not keeping his gob shut, the only better chairman than Shepherd are at Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Smoggies, maybe Wigan, the new manu and spurs we will have to wait and see. Not a lot is it. Shepherds main fault is he has, apart from Bobby Robson, picked the wrong managers. 15242 Hmmm, I agree up to a point, but its interesting that you've listed three out of the current top four there (i.e. the successful ones), and of course the takeover of ManU is a recent event and we await its impact, as you said. Most the others are anonymous, I really don't know what they are like as chairmen, but I get the feeling they don't interfere as much as Shepherd. I worry this is what will put people off. 15257 Fair point again. Maybe the others are anonymous because they have generally been lower than us [until Souness came] because they haven't backed their managers as much as Shepherd, and made transfer news like we have ?? I have gone off Shepherd a lot in the last year, but I can't agree that he hasn't backed his managers, I think he has backed them to the hilt and if he had chose a good one and we therefore had been successful we wouldn't care too much about him making an arse of himself so much either, after all we didn't complain too much about him when we bought Bellamy and Robert and qualified for the Champions League

Seems like our Graeme might have a bit of a worrying reputation as a man manager in the footballing world... There's a lad at Blackburn called Craig Bellamy, and a lad at Man City called Andy Cole, a lad at Birmingham called David Dunn, a lad at Portsmouth called Laurent Robert, and quite a few lads at Blackburn for starters, who can tell you a thing or two about him. Although, in spite of a lot of these players playing brilliantly for other managers, particularly Cole, Bellamy and a certain Dwight Yorke, Souey boy still thinks that HE handled them correctly !! When is this nightmare going to end ?

I have nero express Rob, much prefer the layout of roxio, the In-CD of nero is disabled though because it clashes with the equivalent on roxio which is direct CD. I'm considering all possibilities now. I use DVD shrink to burn DVD's - its configured to run with Nero and does it automatically.

got it all done pp, installed over the top of w98se. Modem wasn't happy being uninstalled and re-installed after few different ways and attempts, so I installed the upgrade from the site, and bingo ! What the hell eh, it works. Downloaded an upgrade for my 4 year old-ish printer. No probs. Updated my sound card, OK, until I tried to play a game which is daughters favourite, which didn't work. Bollocks, I thought I was right in the shit now ! Found an XP "fix" from the manufacturers site, and it works so far, the site says if it doesn't work to go into the folders and delete a file. So I've bookmarked and kept that instruction. Roxio is giving me bother. Windows media player 9 didn't work properly, so I downloaded version 10 and it works OK apart from slightly freezing / locking, but roxio has known problems with windows xp, and according to the roxio website there is no fix !!! Great. There is a link between roxio and XP which is bugging windows media it seems. So as I already use Audiograbber and Exact audio copy I may just use them if I can install the roxio CD cover programme on its own or find another one similar. Think thats it. Not so bad as it sounds, nothing thats not solveable. I lost no data at all, and for some reason when i went onto the internet it didn't ask me to register . Lad I "got" the xp disk from thinks it may be because it is still reading my w98se registration instead ..... interesting. I would rather it had asked me to register though in case i need to install again in future for some reason.

We need somebody or come January we will be in the middle of a relegation scrap. And if thats the case, stand by for Souness blaming everyone but himself and not having a clue to handle it...unless he's hopefully gone of course
-
of course. We would be far better off with him at the club instead of fuckwit.
-
You could have just cut and pasted some statistical drivel ! 14510 I didn't have time to add that !!
-
why do you think it sounds racist
-
I'd prefer Souness to explode personally and Bellamy to invoke his return clause
-
bet those who said give Souness time are pleased now ... Panic buy imminent

got to go....quick answer for now, I have never suggested execution for anything other than prem-meditated murder, or terrorists. Just an attempt to improve behaviour, and standards of respect in kids to take into adult life, and a damn good lesson for those who take advantage of the vulnerable, to teach them the error of their ways, without the parents screaming that their little angel is a lovely little laddie and wouldn't do such a thing when they can't be arsed to bother with them themselves.
-
I've never admired the way they live. However there seems to be plenty of people who are happy with them bringing their way of life to the UK, unless a lot of them happen to move into your street that is ....... The only thing myself and the others appear to be saying is: enough is enough. Violence is increasing, especially the cowardly type we are on about, that is what the national service thread is all about. You don't directly answer my questions actually about the cerebral palsy lad or what we should do if we catch him, muggers etc, apart from past comments about similar things where you say "they've done their time set them free" - when the sentence has been a joke. IMO the victims should be the ones to get the sympathy not the perpetrators, but you clearly don't agree. You also said earlier, kids hanging around annoying people, and having no respect for others "aren't breaking the law". We are saying in that case the law is an arse and as they have no respect for others measures need to be taken to ensure they develop them, rather than the other way round. You clearly think otherwise, and just wish to bury your head in the sand and hope it goes away.

just for you Phil

...when Graeme Souness was appointed manager of Newcastle
-
yeh Alex, there was crime, of course there was. Such as the Train Robbery, Myra Hindley etc there is always crime. There just seems to be more now though. I may be wrong too as I was young, but I don't recollect kids, and older kids being allowed to harras, mug or beat up old women, kids etc ... and a few lads I knew were right arseholes but they still knew that sort of thing wasn't on - and they knew would be right in the shit if they did it too. Anyway. The most important thing is what happens now and how can it be tackled.
-
good on yer Rob. Ref the threads about scumbags, and national service and your comment that it's alright for yobbos to stand around on street corners annoying and scaring people etc etc as they aren't breaking any laws, and letting them all see the law is an ass which encourages them to move onto bigger things...ie ref a few recent murders, muggings, and did you see the news tonight about that lad with cerebral palsy who has had his wheelchair nicked ? It all has its roots in hanging around on street corners and a lack of respect for the law and the knowledge if they get caught nothing much will happen to them anyway. The ones among us prepared to back moves to show such utter shitebags who mug old people, kids, women etc etc even just annoying and scaring people as stated above, and give them the feckin good hiding and treatment they well and truly deserve and a lesson they will never forget, and the best you can do is say we should be sent to live in Saudi etc.
-
absolutely, every time we played Leeds, Bobby Robson got Bellamy and Dyer to run at him. Weakest link.
