I've said before - and I think its true even if its true that Corbyn personally is a staunch leaver - that there's nothing wrong with trying to appeal to both sides - there should be plenty of middle ground between "they're traitors" and "they're thick racists". However I'm not sure there's any evidence that that appeal is working so as Ewerk said maybe it is time for a "we respect your view but you're wrong". Swinson was asked the other day how she could encompass leavers if she could actually revoke and she gave no answer whatsoever - just like May and the rest of the tories maintaining that actually getting out would "heal the rift" and other such bollocks. .

I'm sure someone might have a link or can be arsed to search but I think I read an article not long after Grenfell which suggested that Rees-Mogg was on the parliamentary committee which sets building standards for public housing and had been "pressured" by lobbyists to accept the shite cladding options as okay to use. I'd say Johnson is probably more of a remainer than Corbyn but it's the party's policy that matters.

I think Swinson's comments on other matters suggest she's more tory leaning than the general perfectly decent Liberal democrat. That's why I don't trust her.

No, they're going for Labour - Swinson described the Johnson vs Corbyn debate as two leavers on a stage - the way they are still saying Labour will leave is a clear appeal for the remain vote which of it works will simply hand the tories power by costing Labour seats like Canterbury and Kensington. Theyve now said they wouldn't have/won't work with Gordon Brown, Ed Milliband and Jeremy Corbyn - given that range who the hell do you think they would work with?

It's a reasonable conclusion given some of the advice. Reccomending the LDs in places they got 4% in 2017 based on the eu election results seems a stretch. They were boosting the numbers where they said they were reccomending labour by naming them in NI before someone called them on it and they changed them.
