Reeves used the household budget analogy in the last couple of days. No excuse for that level of stupidity unless it's a deliberate way of ruling out spending.

I think they're terrified of giving the tories ammunition for the next election of them being financially irresponsible as they think that's what cost the last Labour government. They're desperate for more than one term. Trouble is I think it will be "easy" to argue they haven't achieved much if the reliance on growth alone turns out to be not very substantial.

It does look like they've genuinely been fucked over but the response is shite.
-
Which makes Starmer's little Murdoch deal even more hilarious.

I saw a good thread about Clare Balding being genuinely shocked when she was talking to Rebecca Adlington about Olympians inspiring kids and mentioned Adlington "must have" had scholl visits from medal winners and was told of course she hadn't. The point was the non-state school establishment types have absolutely no awareness of what the real world is like.

The bloke was subdued when he kicked him so it was payback rather than part of the arrest and not part of his training. I also think anyone who stamps on someone's head should be charged with attempted murder - it's an ansolute scum move.

Mass kids substitution.

Yeah I read that the majority of drivers it happens to do retire.

I know I sound like a cunt when I whinge about train suicides but they do cause pain in the arse chaos.
-
Years ago my short of choice was pernod and black - quite a few times when I was stupidly drunk I'd throw up and seeing the red mistake it for blood and panic.

That looks more like a faint positive at the end of the infection rather than at the start - maybe test again tomorrow and Friday?

I agree but it's not just Trump - ever since Reagan embraced the evangelical vote it's been pretty clear their long term plan has been to control the supreme Court and ban abortion and other rights but the dems rule following has been naive. At the very least they should have tried to get Ginsberg to retire before she died.

He's Italian - diving is genetic.

There's nothing wrong with a commitment to fiscal responsibility but it's the absence of any willingness to consider ideas to look at revenue increases apart from some nebulous idea of growth that bothers me. Too much caution and fear of the press - a press incidentally we found out today they did a nice little deal with to garner support at the cost of justice. I wonder how many other deals they've made on things like CGT and tax avoidance.

I just don't trust Americans to not be that stupid. Also the dems have had these supposedly clever people for decades and they've been completely fucked by the republicans.
-
Clinton was supposedly a great lawyer but she didn't exactly tear him a new arse in the debates.
-
That was the phrase the jounalist's government source used.
-
If they're going to suspend MPs for not voting with the government then why do we even bother with a Parliament?

I got a leaflet through my letterbox today from the water company saying they've fitted a smart water meter and I've gone to have a shower before bed and I've got no water. Twats. Checked with my next dorr neighbour and they're fine so I reckon they just haven't turned it back on at the stand pipe access hole thingy. I'll have to phone them first thing though my neighbour's son is a plumber so he's said he can ask him to do it as they have the tool.

Source for comment about getting one over on the left.
-
It's not about children in poverty or budgets it's about getting another one up on the left. More tories who voted for them in 2019 died (8%) than switched to Labour (6%) this time but those 6% still count for more than anyone left wing. Or kids onviously.

The FA were supposedly quoted as saying they had a succession plan in mind - that suggests Carsley (or maybe Potter) to me. Hopefully anyway.

A couple of further mentions of this Thiaw from Milan.
-
Probably not but funnily enough I did read somewhere that Reagan held them back on a few occasions.

With US arms and tacit approval. It's like Tywin Lannister and Gregor Clegane.
