  1. I overheard a couple of Spurs fan on the train earlier in the week slighlty moaning that they hadn't signed anyone but them moved on to Sissoko with "what the fuck was he thinking signing that load of shit" - couldn't help bursting out laughing.
  2. Incidentally I'm assuming Jaime didn't know what Cersei had done to the Sands before letting her get her lips around his chopper.
  3. My reading of the trailer was they made have their first victory by way laying the delivery of the Tyrell gold to the bank, leaving the Lannisters broke.
  4. I'm getting the feeling they're desperate to finish it as quickly as possible so they can get on to the spin-offs. This 7/6 episode thing is wrong - a normal 10 ep season would have allowed a lack of these glaring timeline anomalies. It reminds me a bit of Babylon 5 which was meticulously written to last 5 years but because of a cancellation threat too much was crammed into S4 and then S5 had to be filled out a bit after it was confirmed. This meant S4 was a breakneck fantastic ride but overall it was too quick with the same kind of timeline jumps.
  5. Read something about Cersei /Jaime knowing Tyrion too well and knowing he'd give a shit about Casterly rock when they don't - makes sense. Bran was a fucking creep like.

    Holidays 2025

    Tuscany? Parky/Chez territory.
  7. Was it Manc-Mag who had the obsession with symmetrical breasts and labia?
  8. I presumed the little birds were just King's Landing and I was going to say he knew what was going on regarding Dany earlier but then remembered that was Jorah I still think they should have realised that intelligence is a key part of warfare.
  9. Nice to see the easy procession lo victory laid out by Tyrion isn't going to happen though I think conveniently ignoring the fact that Varys should have had better intelligence about Euron and Jon was a bit glaring. Otherwise all good.
  10. My sister had a soda stream - they were crap - the pop wasn't properly enfizzied.

    Yes Gemmill...

Crawling was and is a fantastic song but overall they were a bit too nu-metally for me. Shame about Chester though - RIP.
  12. Just finished Westworld - not quite the masterpiece it's made out to be but very good. Approaching the end I thought it was another "should be just one season" job but there is scope to continue the philosophical side but they're going to have to have a different format rather than just the looping mechanism of the first one.
  13. Thing is pensions have always been a bit iffy - the everage life expectancy of males used to be roughly 67 so on average you got two years in retirement before dying. It's gone up a bit (now stalled) but its still not great in releation to 65 let alone 68. Another thing is they use annuities on private pensions based on death at a hundred so 35 years currently - very few blokes live that long so its pretty much a rip-off.
  14. I pissed next to Tommy Wright's dad and brothers at Villa Park once.
  15. Just around the corner from where I used to live - you'll have living on the site of an old mine in common with SAFC now Stevie Congrats on the wedding.
  16. Think he meant Sansa when he still was a guard - it was during a Joffrey walkabout that she was grabbed.
  17. Ah, I'd forgotten he was on Arya's list for killing the butcher's boy. Still surprised he saved Sansa though.
  18. I did think of something that jars slightly with me - they're selling this redemption of the hound quite heavily but has he actually been that much of a cunt compared with the show norm? I know there was the farmer thing referred to in this episode and the whole "kidnapping" of Arya (where overall he treat her well) but there was also the bit where he rescued Sansa from the rapist in S1. I can't remember that much cuntishness overall.
  19. I've waited till it finished so will get around to it but it seems to have been well received from what I've read. I enjoyed the surreal stuff in the old one - especially Bob - so have no qualms about it. As I said above, after watching Legion, I think I can take it.
  20. Enjoyed it overall but a couple of clunky bits. Have to hope for a load of bled out soldiers next week - mostly collateral to ensure one death. I gave up on the books after the second one - I decided I preferred the vision of the show to the novels - probably the only time I've ever thought that.

    Gigs 2025

Ticketmaster run a sub-site called get me in where they legally tout their own tickets under the guise of a "fan site". Can't help with the whys and wherefores - he doesn't appeal to me.
