  1. A pet annoyance of mine is porn set it in the past with bald minges.
  2. Don't spoil the ending man. Now I did like the ending - one thing almost guaranteed to make me find even sentimental tosh watchable is a pisser at the end. I was joking like, never mind I did realise - I remember when it came out a lass in the office I was working at did seriously ask her mate how it ended and whether there'd be a sequel.
  3. Watched Sherlock Holmes last night - enjoyed it quite a bit but I do like Downey. Related to the other thread, that's the first Guy Ritchie film I've ever seen.

I know its a forlorn hope but you have to hold your hands up if caught as well - I caught a bit of an ep of Traffic Cops earlier where a bloke did a runner and claimed he wasn't driving the car and of course his wife backed him up - utter scum.
  6. The secret to Titanic is 1 hours 25 mins on the clock - Kate gets her tits sort of out and the ship hits the ice so things become watchable.
  7. Tried to watch the first LOTR a couple of times - fell asleep so haven't bothered with the rest. Switched the second new Star Wars one off after half an hour and never bothered with the third - exactly the same for The Matrix series.
  8. My usenet provider (Giganews) keeps promoting their private VPN which in theory means anonymous everything but I don't know how that stacks up with the ISPs - I'd guess it depends. I'd only worry if you were a large seeder rather than a leecher anyway.
  9. They've been getting easy pens like that for decades so the cunts can fuck right off as far as I'm concerned.

How do you know when you're at zero though? Do you have to stop driving for 2 days every time you have a pint? I'd say next day unless you've had a shit load (arbitrary I know) then 2 days would be right. The limit as it stands is too confusing due to drink strength, body weight and time taken to metabolise it. I know there are serial offenders who don't give a shit who should be fucked but I think its a bit iffy for the rest.

    Drink driving

If I go out on Friday dinnertime at work and have 3 pints by 2:30/3:00 then I feel I'm alright driving home from the station at 6:00 but if I occasionally have a 4th I leave the car in the car park and pick it up the next day. I'd be quite happy with a zero limit - cuts all the shit imo but I know theres an argument from rural communities that its going too far which I disagree with.
  12. That's why its a shame Smith is off - could have ordered him to break the cunt's leg.
  13. Why the fuck is the commentator talking about 98 as if the cunts beat us? Wanker.
  14. I've said before regarding street crime in London that ignoring the facts is pointless - just as in that case you can look at the underlying poverty of black communities , in this case you can look at the culture clash where their daughter/sisters are over-protected by tradition but the men are obviously anxious to embrace western "freedom". Of course there should be nowt stopping them doing that with adults.
  15. Have to worry about a bounce-back added to the thirst for revenge but enjoyable anyway.
  16. U2 - Boy Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream Manics - The Holy Bible Bubbling under...... U2 - Achtung Baby Placebo - Without You I'm Nothing Pixies - Doolittle Big Country - The Crossing Belly - Star Black Sabbath - Master of Reality Be Bop Deluxe - Sunburst Finish
  17. Always has done Popular music is largely derived from American music you daft monkey. American music has been one of the greatest contributions to culture, it has been adopted the world over. We've got our literature, they've got the tunes. They had Muddy Waters, we had George Formby. There's no fucking contest. But given that you actually have no clue about music, and listen to pish like Robbie Williams, whilst saying people are brain-dead cunts for listening to something else, it isn't surprising that you'd come out with such a steaming pile of shite. Depends on your cut-off date though - American music has roots in Irish/Scottish folk as well as obviously an African influence.
  18. Technically Otis - end product wise which is what counts imo - Liam.
  19. I'm a huge fan of U2 Stevie but I still recognise that taste is personal not absolute - you can't impose it on the masses. Generic/casual fans like what's popular/trendy - as of 2011 that's Kings of Leon.
  20. So the likes of a toon fan like me and one like yee, is that what you're saying? Eh? No - I mean there were people there who saw those bands as going to that summers cool event rather than busting a gut to see them on their own merits. For the U2 one, Genesis had played there the week before and I assumed that there were quite a few people who'd gone there as well though I can imagine fewer people would like both bands. If you want it football terms I'd say what I'd call more casual fans would be ones who go to Blackburn or Wigan or a big cup game but wouldn't dream of going to Oxford on a Wednesday night. If you meant the wankers part then its a sad fact that Oasis did attract a lot of arseholes.
  21. There's something in what Gemmill says - people who only have a casual interest in music by which I mean rarely go to gigs and buy maybe a dozen albums a year would tend to have Oasis or U2 as their token "rock" box ticker - they do have a mass casual appeal as well a having fans who take them more seriously. I went to Elland Road to see U2 in 87 and there were loads of that kind of casual fan there and it was the same when I last went to see Oasis at Finsbury park (though the latter did have far too many laddidh wankers as well). On Kings of Leon I found there early stuff canny but a bit too weird for me - I prefer some of their more recent stuff but wouldn't cal myself a fan.
  22. It didn't end well btw, if you want a potted version. You could argue it only went tits up economically when they ran out of oil which was about 42 iirc.
  23. I do respect that very human notion - I think as I said earlier the debate has shifted in the last couple of decades as the issue has affected more people (whose wealth is mainly property inflation based). Maybe its a question of number of generations = the true upper class have been passing it on for centuries with probably dubious initial acquistion so I'd have less problem "having a go" at them rather than someone from a council house whose made it good leaving it all to his kids.
  24. I think I've said a couple of times that I recognise my personal "hypocrisy" - before working in banking, I worked in the IFA industry which I have even more contempt for. I don't really feel too guilty about it - I like having a decent lifestyle too much. Alex is also right - I do hate everybody, but that's not job related - and also I guess in contrast to being a socialist but I'd argue that's more about people as a whole rather than individuals.
