Is this another case of a gutless linesman? I think the players were asking him to consult the linesman and he seemed willing to go over to him IF the bloke had something to say but of course he didn't. I also agree with Burley's doomsday scenario - how can any tackle be allowed under Poll's criteria?
-
In the cold light of day I think they will claim that he'd already made contact and fouled him with his left leg before playing the ball - I don't agree but that would mean they would admit it should have been a free kick outside but still a red. One of the facets of corruption is to rewrite history though someone on Setanta (Burley?) made the point that Shay even made to not pick the ball up thinking it was a back pass via the tackle.

Fuck off you nobjockey, anyone who's ever watched football could see that was never a pen in a million years, you fuckin cockney wank. How would you know, you blind twat
-
Shite as usual - the video backed my original opinion up as it would have had I seen it at the match.
-
My usual question: Rob Styles - incompetent or corrupt? On the bright side there's nowt wrong with the team spirit. I'd also like to say how much I would love to see somebody cripple Shaun Wright-Phillips for life.

It's funny how "both sides" in the structure wars are exaggerating players qualities or lack there of - something I admit to to a certain extent. Acuna was not fucking rubbish.

The two aren't mutually exclusive - touting is just one thing in their "portfolio" of schemes. "Real" fans lose out - 4 years ago when The Pixies did their reunion tour they announced 2 shows at Brixton which sold out in a few minutes. The next day at 9:30 all of the ticket sites were updated with details of two more shows - the tickets for which had went on sale at 9:00 that day and had sold out to what must have been all touts/rip off agencies - of course this was an inside job which is why I recognise that promoters and venues are just as culpable and are hypocrites when they speak against it but the point remains. Of course fans can "just go to ticketmaster/rip off agencies" as mentioned above which is fair enough but it doesn't make it "right".
-
It doesn't matter - that's what they are doing the rest of the week. If you can't recognise basic types like the "dodgy geezers" who sell tickets at gigs I honestly don't know how you survive normal life. As a test why don;t you buy a pair of tickets for an upcoming gig and then try and sell them on their "patch" and see what happens.
-
Yes but at the same time "professional" Touts tend to be drug dealers/burglars/fences - if you're happy financing the utter dregs of society than fair enough. Source? Experience of many, many gigs.

Yes but at the same time "professional" Touts tend to be drug dealers/burglars/fences - if you're happy financing the utter dregs of society than fair enough. Of course somebody selling a spare is semi-forgiveable despite what I said above but the pros are fucking scum.

On the Elevation tour I ended up with 2 or 4 tickets for all 4 nights for U2 at Earls Court (pre-sale to u2.com registrees) - I exhausted the mates option for all of them except one spare on one night. When I arrived at the tube station I still hadn't really made my mind up what I was going to do with it but I saw the scum (touts) up to their tricks and thought sod it, I'd rather just chuck it away rather than sell it to one of those for another fan to be ripped off. Then I noticed a lass on the point of tears arguing with a tout as he was trying to charge her something ridiculous so asked her if she wanted one for face value. I sold her the ticket which resulted in me having to enter football head down and get the fuck out of there mode as the touts weren't happy. There are many ways to sell tickets at face value. Anyone who tries to make money on them (incidental/accidental or not) is a piece of shit imo.

Yup, he was convicted of sexual assault (several times) and rape (and two other reports of it), so no chance. As a completely amateur psychiatrist, I think however despicable sexual assaults or rapes obviously are, they show a different line of interest in someone than knocking on their door and shooting them dead.

Was expecting to see Wacky posting that he has no need of another 4 inches for anything.

I don't think anyone argued with the fact that the bloke had problems and probably should be cared for - that just wasn't any reason to think he was a murderer. Shite photo of her as well - quite tidy when dolled up on Sky (I like redheads).

What's your derby record for games you were at?
NJS replied to Andrew Flintoff's topic in Newcastle Forum
All of them since the Rowell hat-trick game in 79 except the 96-97 Joker lockout. 4 Home defeats including the play-off and one defeat at their place. -
South Shields raised and Sunderland to the bone. Yeah - I could mention Gordon Armstrong - Newcastle born and Sunderland to the bone. The brother in law himself is actually one of these weird people who don't support a team - though he is a canny player.

A mate of a mate who I know is Nick Pickering's wife's brother.

Was in a car and I think we were the only 4 people who saw no bother that night - utter scum.

Spurs First time I went to Hillsborough 80/81 Not at the match but after PSV in 97, went back to Amsterdam and managed do walk though 2 gangs of black lads having a serious fight. Belgrade in 98 was decidedly dodgy.

I'd add my voice to those saying Boumsong was a decent player wholly unsuited to the English game - still has to count as a flop though.
-
I remember Tommy Smith bleating on about his celebration saying it could have caused a riot - that was the whole point you crippled scouse cunt

He signed with two games left of the year but couldn't play as it was after the then deadline and we were due to play teams still in relegation trouble who wouldn't allow him to play. At the start of the next season I think he only played about 6 or 7 - certainly not 20 and was offered a get out to go home. The probem was we had him and John Hendrie up front and the newly signed Beasant couldn't stop banging the ball up to them Wimbledon style - I can remember who the midfield was (Bogie?) but they didn't help. Basically the old board + McFaul took the easy way out in sending him back. That's right because we asked West Ham if he could play against them it was April when we signed him. Bogie was wank, but he played more than 6 games easily 20 in all competitions I would say, and we weren't all long ball, we played well when we won at Anfield, and that first half against Spurs was the best I'd seen in ages. The thing is as well, long ball WAS the Scottish game, with dodgier elbows and tackles flying about than anywhere. The fact is with that sort of record he was a major flop. According to Wiki he made 12 appearances - so we were both right/wrong That win at Anfield is probably my favourite non-mackem victory - it was still when nobody won there. It wasn't just the long ball - it was the fact we had nobody to win it and/or hold it up.

The stupid thing is, when Marcelino actually did play, he looked not half bad. Going a bit old school at the start: John Robertson John Ryan Mark Robinson Guivarch Luque

Do you think that NUSC are representative of your views as a supporter?
NJS replied to peasepud's topic in Newcastle Forum
I don't mind their anti-Ashley stance per se and in the light of the possibility of an extended stay keeping up the pressure on him but the statements they've released have been crass to say the least.
