I'm going to sound mental here but I'm not convinced Liverpool even wanted Ekitike. I think if Eddie hadn't stated that he wanted to sign him to play with Isak and let the replacement idea float I think we could've signed him. I think at that stage Liverpool hadn't tapped Isak and signed Ekitike just to stop us having two top notch strikers. Of course now they have tapped Isak, it's turned out to be a mistake to prevent us from signing Ekitike. If Isak does stay I wouldn't be surprised if they offered us Ekitike in January /next summer,
