Razzle

Is that actually reading, or just looking (probably squinting now).

66214

no, just wanking.

66224

The birds in Razzle are a bit rough imo. Prefer some of the classier Paul Raymond publcations tbh.

66238

Does anyone read porn mags anymore what with the internet?

66240

I look at the pictures tbh.

And another thing, have you noticed how ripped out pages of porn mags found randomly in the street have gone the way of white dog poo?

The question should probably be does anybody do anything but wank anymore, what with the internet?

Nice to see how quickly we can turn the books thread to masterbation.

I'm interested in reading some of Banks' sci-fi stuff, I read alot of sci-fi fantasy when I was a kid so I don't bother with it much anymore but I recently read the first of the 'His Dark Materials' trilogy and whilst I thought the world Pullman* had built up was second to none the writing itself was really poor. I'm really impressed with Banks' other stuff (although I do worry about his mental state sometimes) so I thought 'Iain M Banks' might be worth a lash, any suggestions?

*I have to give JK Rowling a lot more credit after reading him, although I still grimace when somebody refers to her work as literature.

Jimbo got his own place and was allowed to take them home.

I love reading them. The stories are great, apparently the ladies love a man who can accidentally drop a towel.

66272

I'm trying to imagine what that's a euphemism for......

Just finished 'Complicity' by Iain Banks - very good read.

66138

I've quite fancied reading some more Iain Banks, I've only ever read 'The Wasp Factory' tbh.

66152

Ive read pretty much all of them. (I gave up on the science fiction ones fairly quickly) My personal favourite is "The Bridge"

66162

He writes as Iain M. Banks for his science fiction stuff I believe??? I've heard it's canny hard going like. Might investigate some of his other fiction. I thought 'The Wasp Factory' was great.

66163

Complicity is better than the Wasp Factory imo. Haven't read a Banks book in ages though.

Ian McEwan is probably my favourite contemporary author. Moving on to another random point, has anybody read Bret Easton Ellis's new book - very mixed reviews.

66179

I think Banks has become more readable and enjoyable even-over the years but the earlier books were more interesting - if that makes any sense. Will Self is probably my favourite at the moment. I thought Great Apes was magnificent, and I really liked his rewrite of A Picture of Dorian Gray

Kitzinger is a well respected feminist author, and its a collection of female fantasies written by ordinary women. Nothing is uncovered, I cant really do it justice on a message board, but if It had been me and not mrs spongebob who had bought it I would imagine I may have run intoa few pervert accusations

I remember when I was about 10, I had a den in the woods and had a stock pile of porn, I was distraught when I found that it had been stolen and some of the pages ripped up and scattered around.

Heart broken....

I agree with all of that!

His science fiction is worth persisting with. Takes a while to set the context, but very imaginative.

Try 'Consider Phleas' or 'Excession'.

Gunning my way through "Slick" by Daniel Price at the moment. Very 21st century - it's all school shootings, media manipulation, news fabrication and pointed narrative so far - but I have to admit it's something of a page-turner. Not sure I like where it's heading though.

Finished Eureka Street by Robert McLiam Wilson - twas very good if a bit stunted at the end. Some very funny moments.

About half way through Divorcing Jack by Colin Bateman, not bad so far. Again some quality moments.
