I can't see what he brings to the team other than getting caught offside all the time and giving away unnecessary fouls, he's clearly out of his depth. We have nothing on the right, Smith has barely touched the ball, Butt is being out muscled and our only creative player is playing left back. Would have rather seen Taylor at left back, Beye at right back with Charles playing on the left. Ameobi's done absolutely fuck all apart from stand offside TWICE when we've had a freekick, and run around like a headless chicken tugging the odd shirt here and there. He's being used so we can have the "big man, little man" combo. Unfortunately the "big man" doesn't realise it's his job to try and head the fucking ball without giving away needless freekicks. ...and this isn't a "let's use Ameobi as a scapegoat" post. He's absolutely fucking useless and all the while he's in our squad we've got no hope of achieving anything. That said, the rest of the squad hasn't been much cop either and I reckon Shay would have saved Millers shot.
