Sampdoria have snapped up highly regarded Roberto Soriano, a midfielder born in 1991, from Bayern Munich. The side coached by Walter Mazzarri have also acquired Italian teenage sensation Fabio Zamblera, who was at Newcastle United and was born in 1990. Zamblera is a member of Italy's under-19 squad. It appears that Sampdoria sporting director and transfer guru Giuseppe Marotta is looking to the future of the club, as Samp look to improve their lacklustre season and subsequent campaigns by adding new and enthusiastic young talent. Sampdoria came in an impressive sixth place last season, but have not been able to replicate that type of form during the 2008-09 campaign. Almost the exact opposite of Ashley...but not in the way you'd have thought. Almost always in profit and only just getting some debt going later. Of course, Keegan walked out on Shepherd because of it didn't he. Wonder why Shepherd survived it but Ashley doesn't seem able to.
