i've just scrawled back a few pages and realised its the same as the sheff wed one someone changed from blue to black stripes, expect using a blue collar and adding the Northern Rock logo. I'm a fan, probably looks better though with a simple white collar as you say

depends on the colour of the numbers, if we go red trim they'll stand out enough of both black and white that we wouldnt need a patch

Just a mock up afaik. Might attempt one myself while I'm bored shitless!

The 'northern rock' bit is a bit choppy but I can't be arsed to fix it!

so if we went with that ^ we'd be ok

Shame we no longer have a Parker or Bracewell type doing midfield spins, that cat would be like watching a zoopraxiscope.

The delays must surely be because of the current relationship with Adidas. Not wanting to burn birdges and all that.

The volcano ash was a handy little excuse for the initial postponement, but no for the continued secrecy shrouding this.

M4tt getting a name check on Simon Bird's twitter after he asked if this was going to be the new kit. Although they did say he was from NO as opposed to TT.

Puma have put the release date back to after the World Cup has finished apparently. The big surge in sales of international tops before a major tournament impact on club shirt sales.

What a bag of wank.. bring back Adidas...

Great communication from them and the club mind. Also how come it hasn't stopped Puma releasing other kits?

It might not be right, just what someone told me. As you say, why have they released other club shirts though? Do they not have the capacity to match the expected demand for a new Toon top?

They could at least show us what it looks like.

If they were confident with their design they wouldn't have any qualms with doing so. Which means....
