Fight the good fight sister!

S'all gone :( The kettle's going on for my bedtime cuppa.

Therefore I shall shortly be drinking a Tetley infusion; strong with just a drop of milk and a sweetener.

13 days without so much of a sniff of a drop of wine. Been surviving on water, green tea and black coffee. Surprising how easy it is to give up the midweek bottles of red. Haven't really been missing the binge drinking either though don't know if I'll last to the end of the month without at least one session.

Nice that stuff. The bloke who does the illustrations of the bottles is the same bloke that illustrated Hunter S Thompson's books.

Sure I once paid about 8 pound for a pint of it in the Baccus.

When in Paris a few weeks ago we went into the Nespresso shop on the Champs Élysées, funny as fuck, hundreds of those little cartons in display cases as if they were gold bullion, racks of the different colour ones behind the counters as if they were casino chips. There were these standing funnels which you stuck your nose into for a smell, and most weird of all these little negotiating tables with card machines - not sure what they were there for, presumably to arrange a direct debit or something so they were regularly delivered? Mad.

I was a bit snobby about it at first but it's an absolutely superb machine. Never had better coffee at home plus there's next to no mess to clean up. Every fucker seems to have one now too.

Last night I had a bottle of white wine and about 8 vodka tonics at a 30th birthday party.

Hanging.

Fucking Sangria man, its minging. The Spanish are right pikeys when it comes to mixed wine drinks. The one thing i cant get my head round is Kalimotxo, which is a Basque name but they drink it all over. Its red wine and coke! I think it comes from Cuba Libre and not being able to afford decent rum so they mix the coke with table wine which is i suppose not too different from the desire to mix drinks with red bull nowadays.

Anyway, our lass's dad's birthday lunch today. 2 bottles of this.
