Until they go after the people at the 'top' i.e. Wade/Coulson and similar editors then none of this will stop.

To think that they didn't know what was going on is ridiculous.

But when questioned on whether the latest developments would affect the bid by the News of the World's parent company News Corporation to take a majority stake in BSkyB, Mr Cameron said he would not intervene as that was a decision being taken by Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt.

Well he fucking should intervene - as Prime Minister surely he has the authority (and in many respects, an obligation) to act in the best interests in this scenario?

Telling time for Dave - needs to show if he has indeed got a backbone.

I would imagine he's weighed it up and the short-term popularity gained by a move such as this would easily be cancelled out by the long-term effects of going to war with Murdock.

He'll have no real authority in this case and that's exactly the way he wants it. He can distance himself from the decision and at the same time keep his mate Murdoch happy.

I think his relationship with Coulson should be scrutinised further -I'd love to see the latter prosecuted properly as that would then mean Cameron would be in deep shit imo - of course the press would give him an easy ride on that.

As disgusting a it is, the public demand for tittle tattle of this ature is just as bad. Just reading the number 1 story on the BBC about a woman that allegedly killed her 2 year old in the US...

Magazines have paid five-figure sums to witnesses to make them cover stars, and even ex-wives of witnesses have been thrust into the spotlight.

News broadcasters have gained access to the Anthony home and to home videos, while others have taken viewers to the prison holding Ms Anthony to inform them she had bought a comb and an eyebrow pencil while behind bars.

Long queues have formed outside the Orlando court for public gallery tickets. On one occasion, fights broke out as spectators argued over who was at the front of the line.

Who the fuck are these sicko's that lap up shit like this?

Those fuckers who congregate when alleged murderers are arriving at court and bang on the van etc are beneath contempt imo - and I don't care what the accused has done.

38 Degree's have got a petition up and running about the News International/Sky thing in light of this. They got the deal with the selling off the forests knocked on the head and had some sucess with the NHS reforms so they might be a decent shout.

That paper sinking to new depths. And there's rumours flying round tonight that they did the same to the families of the girls killed at Soham.

There's no fucking respect. Fuck fining the bastards, they've got a slush fund specifically for covering libel costs.

BBC now running with this.... :(

Phone-hacking police meet murdered Soham girls' parents

The parents of murdered Soham girls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman have been visited by police investigating phone-hacking by journalists.

It has been alleged an investigator working for the News of the World hacked the phone of murder victim Milly Dowler while she was missing.

News International has promised the "strongest possible action" if it is proven Milly Dowler's phone was hacked.

MPs will hold an emergency debate on Wednesday on the phone-hacking scandal.

THe whole thing is disgusting but overall imagine being the parents, leaving heartbreaking message after message. Pouring your heart out in the hope it will convince your child to come home. Then to find out years after she was murdered that some low life reporters have probably sat round a table listening to every word.

....and then deleting them so you get a false impression they're still alive and leave some more.

Cunts want locking up. And the very least that should happen is that bint Brooks should get the boot. Fucking disgrace!

And to think people were after Johann Hari's blood the other day for cutting and pasting a few quotes. He apologised, but you can bet there'll be no remorse from this lot.

It just reaffirms your beliefs that these people are parasitic, detestable vermin. Saw a documentary the other day on the Miners strike of 84. One of the talking heads they had on was Mckenzie. What a grade A numero uno cunt this man is. The stuff they published about the Liverpool fans sums up the contempt this bloke holds for the common man outside of the South East. Your heart goes out to the Parents anyway, when you take shit like this into account, well.......a fine isn't good enough.

That, basically:

I have a lot of time for Hari, for all his flaws, but he has acted like a bit of a divvy throughout this one.

That Rebbeca Thingy is the one who printed the names and addresses of sex offenders to encourage vigilante mayhem, and is/was with Ross Kemp and had attacked him*. I hope she and Kelvin McKenzie die slowly from some nasty disease, as that what scum like them deserve. These vermin deserve prison, but no doubt Coulson and Thingy will get away with it, and the lackeys will carry the can.

If I was Murdoch, I'd close down the NotW, sack every journalist involved and launch a replacement Sunday tabloid with a whole new crew. The paper is too badly damaged.

*=It's OK as when domestic violence is a woman attacking a man, it is hilarious and only minor. It's only wrong if it is the other way round :(
