This thread has turned into a really interesting read. The absence of a certain someone benefitting this place hugely already.

stop your moaning man.

He's BACK!

Not having been a member here long, what's the deal with LeazesMag. Is he a know-it-all, know-nothing?

He's a guy that gets more pleasure out of being right on the internet than seeing the team do well, he's even gone as far as posting smilies after West Brom equalised in the final game of last season meaning we finished in the bottom half.

I don't think he's got any pleasure out of this season and won't until Mike Ashley matches all of the finishes the club had under Keegan and Robson.

He likes to tell you about it too, preferably as often as possible in as many different threads as possible.

Sounds a bit like the guy who used to sit in front of me at the match. His particular scapegoat was Laurent Robert...who then duly scored two absolute screamers against Spurs. The stubborn b*stard refused to celebrate the goals, much to the delight of all around him.

The loans do not involve any holding companies, they are directly from MA's personal bank account.

As explained, whilst they are shown as loans on the balance sheet, they're essentially part of the purchase price. Undoubtedly, MA will struggle to get back the £240m he put it. However, when he first bought the club, he would have struggled to get £50m. By turning the club into a profitable entity, he will obtain a much higher selling price.

I imagine any buyer would stipulate that the loans are written off as part of the deal. The buyer has the power here, as MA paid over the odds in the first place, and paying silly money for a football club isn't a particularly smart thing to do...

in essence then MA got nufc for 64m? plus debt. wasnt their a big thing with the council turning down plans for a casino/retail park adjoined to st james' probably his primary motive?

I don't believe that for one minute.

Oh good, this again.

:suicide:

Be fair if people are going to accuse him of that, which is a shocking accusation to make, then surely there should be some evidence.

The point is, we're right back where we were before his absence. Leazes is yet to do anything untoward and already we're right back in the same old shit. Fault lies (so far) with people baiting him.

The self appointed board policeman is correct.

I couldn't do it without the self proclaimed financial Whiz-kid backing me up.

I wasn't on the board at the time but it was brought up here > http://www.toontastic.net/board/topic/32523-leazes-statement/page__st__60

Although my experience of him reveling in a defeat was him bumping the European thead after we lost to West Brom.

Looking at Leazes' posts after the game, I think this is the closest it gets to what's described...

Brilliant that's he's said 4 words and there's several pages of discussion on him again though. His bell end will be red raw.
