Sky commentary was atrocious and very one-sided.

Simpson is a liability (what was he doing so far forward in the first place?), Obertan is just a joke now, Perch is too slow, Cabaye is overrated, Ba is well off-form, Tiote not as his best by a long shot as of late, Santon hopeless, Williamson a mix, Colo class, Krul good... think that about covers it.

Ben Arfa did well in the first half but to fair to him the second half was played entirely in our half of the pitch so he couldn't do much.

Oh and Pardew's tactics revolve around whether he plays 1 up top or 2 and he has no plan B or good enough squad players to implement a plan B if things don't go well.

We'll do very, very well to get a place in Europe this season. We haven't played well and won since Man Utd at home way back in early January.

Try watching the last ten minutes on a buffering stream cos Virgin Media is grade A fucking wank and then finally getting it to work to see that count Vermaelen score. Fucking classless counts, the lot of them. Van Persie should be banned for fucking life, the prick.

calling them names isnt going to help, we were outclassed plain and simple.

Obertan and Cabaye were non existent in the midfield, Obertan was just Obertan, running around like a headless chicken, Cabaye hasnt played well in months. No doubt he puts the work in but his once excellent passing and creative is becoming a distant memory. I would have subbed him for Guthrie and Obertan for Vucic.

The Santon substitution puzzled me as i thought he did ok against Walcot, Perch was good when he came on though.

Williamson must have been given the hairdryer at half time. he was scooping everything up after the break. Simpson was good tonight.

Its a shame but they did play better. The central midfield problem has to be addressed though, and fast.

Pardoo should be castrated ..........not just for starting Obertan but for leaving him on for 60 minutes. Obertan wasn't just a passenger, he was a fucking handicap.

Shola higher in the pecking order than our 10 million quid striker Cisse????

Williamson's fault that Van Persie scored, he's just not good enough but who else do we have.

For a moment I thought we might hang-on for a draw but I should know better, this is Newcastle.

Simpson's not good enough either.

Brilliant goal from BenArfa but sadly there wasn't much opportunity for him to parade his skills.

To be fair we weren't bad tonight. Looked much better defensively and showed decent flashes in the first half. I'm optimistic if we can play well in the next couple of easier games and we might see some more positive investment to shore up a couple of tricky areas in the summer.

More hysteria from you, no surprises there.

Obertan did alright for about half of the time he was on the pitch, and then went way downhill.

Shola came on to hold the ball up. That was obvious, and something he's better at than Cisse. Obvious stuff here, do you actually watch NUFC?

Williamson was one of our better players, not the only one at fault for the goal.
