One for the SMB catalogue. Sat watching the match in this Irish bar on Sunday. Three mackem lads come in (hoodies from some gym/boxing club saying “Made in Sunderland” or something similar) about ten minutes before our game kicked out, spent all the game rooting and cheering for Arsenal and then left at full time. You’ve got to laugh

This one passed me by. Weren't they supposed to have a women's team that would shit all over us? No doubt it's because of blood money.

Sunderland used to be top side & they produced a lot of the top English talents + players who’d go on to have success with other clubs.

However they were kicked under the bus when the mens team started to fail.

Durham Women are the university team so are very well off funnily enough.

Just strolling through the lobby at the hotel and I see an ex-MLF manager sitting with their lass being checked in. Was going to say 'Do you hate the mackems anaarrl?' but I don't need to ask tbh as he couldn't fuck off soon enough when a bigger club ..... Checks notes.... Stoke City, came in for him.

Just been asked if I was watching the match on Saturday by the main man as he was in the lift with us and when I said I might, I might not he said 'Are you a Sunderland fan?'

Has anyone checked on the mackems today? Jill Scott, sat in a Sunderland shirt on her podcast with Neville and them, saying:

That midfield three at Newcastle, I don't think there's anyone better than them.

Eddie Howe as her nomination for manager of the season..

... And the worst of them all. They asked for moment of the season and she was first out of the gate saying Newcastle winning the league cup.

That's her disowned.

Think she is into lasses tho?

I saw some clip recently where she'd been playing in some charity game and she was saying that she got absolutely smashed by Marlon Harewood.

Keane turns to her deadpan and goes "Yeah but what about the game though?"

I only thought the topic of conversation on that show was the current Manchester United side and manager, ex- Manchester United players and managers, games recently played by Manchester United and games played by themselves for Manchester United plus massive lashings of the above but Liverpool football club and a few playing career reminiscing game chat with Ian Wright. Did Keane's nose turn up when NUFC were mentioned as if some invisible, malevolent apparition was wafting a particularly rancid, invisible jobby under his sneck?

 nah honestly fairly reverent about us and the season we've had. Carragher saying he was gutted at the cup final but when you see the reaction from the fans, you've got to be happy for them.

He could've told his fucking face that on the post match telly coverage mind.

Neville has named Howe in the cup final as his coaching performance of the season and that game as his game of the season. We're slowly being welcomed in by these fucking bellwhiffs.

He was utterly convinced there was no need to bring black and white ribbons to Wembley that day.

tbf Neville has always been quite measured about us whilst he's been a pundit. When it was popular for the likes of Rio to bang on that we should be eternally grateful to Mike Ashley for servicing debt, Neville tended to buck the trend and suggest he got why we were so fucked off and agreed with it.

An absolute cunt on the pitch, a really really shit co-commentator with his high-pitched squeals but when it comes to punditry, I think he's one of the best out there.

Carragher was too from memory. Back when they were the banter kings of sky sports.

Ever since they've become successful, Carragher has turned into a pro-Liverpool knob. The irony that until he signed with Liverpool as a school boy he was a die-hard Everton fan isn't lost on me.

What works in Neville's favour is it was fully expected he'd be a Man Utd appeaser - he's been anything but, but then he's absolutely pissed at the shambolic was his club is run.
