Renton 27784 Posted September 14 Share Posted September 14 I've only watched the highlights of Sunderland matches so far (have they even been on telly?), but they've come across as very lucky. Their keeper definitely saved them yesterday like. Promoted clubs quite often do well at the the start of the season, then fade. And their fixtures have been very kind. I watched about fifty mins of their first game v West Ham, it was goalless at that point and both looked poor although Bowen looked lively for the hammers. I later saw the keeper's blunders so a nice slice of luck, didn't see the Burnley game although saw the goal disallowed that was a joke but luckily Burnley won anyway, didn't watch the Brentford game but note they had a goal disallowed I believe and also managed to miss a penalty so another stroke of good fortune and palace were obviously without eze plus Wharton was injured but they were still better than Sunderland who managed a draw. Things have went their way fixture wise and luck wise which doesn't always happen to promoted clubs so they take it where they can get it if they're not delusional or they can be working out how many points they'll need for Europe if they are?
