With Arsenal slipping up yesterday, it would be awesome to edge above them but I fear the usual Anfield performance is on the cards. We will show them way too much respect, they will pass us off the field. Its whether they can score. We need to step our performances up and I hope we can use today as a platform for that. Liverpool are there for the taking big time but we never seem to capitalise there.

Tweets coming from anfield indicate Steven Taylor back and that Anita also starts in defence????

Seems very odd.

Seems an attacking shift, maybe 4-3-3.

Got a feeling it will end up Perch at full back and Anita in midfield though.

Anita has been terrible in midfield each time he's played.

Yes it's that old drum of mine but I would have preferred Santon to right back and Ferguson to left back giving us a real threat down both wings.

Hope Im wrong but I think the occasion will be overawe Anita.

He has barely played though, we have had quite a few 'terrible' players who have just needed time to settle. Agree Anfield probably isn't the best time but as a full back he adds something a bit more exciting imo.

You realise he's played for Ajax, right? They have a 'little' derby with this club called Feyenoord. I'm pretty sure he'll cope, he's played against bigger teams than Liverpool in Europe for Ajax I believe.

Its simple. He's arrived in the prem, so far played pretty crap (particularly in his favourite position) and his confidence will be pretty low. Last week Perch was preferred. To then " come back" against Liverpool at Anfield, live on TV is still a pretty big ask.

I'll be amazed and impressed if he copes.
